Composer Brian Tyler is the man who created the playlist for Need for Speed: The Run.
He chose the songs based on Jack’s evolution during the story mode.

Brian Tyler is an American composer, producer, film producer and conductor.
He was born in Los Angeles, California and he attended UCLA and Harvard.
His grandfather, Walter H. Tyler, inspired Brian and so his musical career started at an early age. He plays drums, piano, guitar, percussion, bass and stringed instruments.
Brian Tyler is also well known for his career in the film industry. He created the playlists for Fast Five, Eagle Eye, Battle: Los Angeles and other motion pictures.
He also composed the music for Lego Universe and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
In 2011 Brian Tyler was nominated for The International Film Music Critics Association Award, for the best original score featured in a video game Lego Universe.
Need for Speed: The Run is a racing video game developed by EA Black Box and released in U.S on November 15, 2011.
It is the 18th title in the Need for Speed series of racing videogames. The story is focused on Jack, the main character of the game who was involved in a murder, and now he is a marked man.
The only way Jack can save his life is to participate in an illegal underground race, from San Francisco to New York and, eventually, win it.
The winner of the race also gets $25.000.000, but for this prize, Jack must race against the most notorious drivers in the world.
Need for Speed: The Run uses the latest Frostbite 2 game engine, created by DICE studio, for better visual details, environmental immersion and emotional impact.
As of November 17, 2011, Need for Speed: The Run for Xbox 360 cumulated a score of 66 points on metacritic.com based on 26 reviews.
The game received medium to high scores from critics and reviewers.
Gaming Nexus gave 91 points out of 100, Destructoid gave a rating of 85/100, and on Game Trailers, Need for Speed: The Run received 84 points out of 100. On the other, hand NFS: The Run gathered only 60 points out of 100, on Guardian, AtomicGamer, VideoGamer while on Joystiq, 3 stars out of 5.
