As you can see in the following guide, Gears of War Act IV includes a smaller amount of collectibles, unlike the previous acts featured in the video game.
Remember to always check the Pause menu and see if you grabbed all collectibles in a chapter, because there are many spots from which you can’t backtrack, leaving you with no other option but to replay the whole level.
You can play 5 chapters in Act IV of GoW 4, during which you can locate 7 collectibles. Among those you can find 3 additional Gears of War 4 COG Tags.
At the end of Act III, the squad found Marcus deep in the hive, but no sign of Reyna, Kait’s mother. So now they have to go back and risk everything by visiting a second, even larger Swarm hive.
Marcus thinks that it’s time to call a friend for backup, but the others believe there is no time to do that. To make things worse they are caught by a large Windflare storm and are forced to cut through an abandoned dam.
Realizing that they are overwhelmed, they decide to call for support, but in order to do that they have to use a nearby radio tower which is overrun by enemy forces.

ACT IV: Chapter 1 – Get Out

Only one Gears of War 4 Act IV collectible can be found during the first chapter. At the beginning of this act, you have to go through a hole in a wall and right in front of you there should be a yellow mining cart.
To your left there is another one hidden behind some rocks, and next to it is the document collectible.
ACT IV: Chapter 2 – No Detours

After you start the next chapter you find a gigantic damaged wheel on the right side of the area. Just across, on the left side, there is a big gear and slightly ahead a dead soldier. Interact with the body to retrieve the COG Tag collectible.
ACT IV: Chapter 3 – Knock Knock

After you survive the battle outside the entrance to Tollen Dam, head inside the building on the left (from your starting position).
Turn right and check the far left corner of the room to find the only Gears of War 4 collectible in this chapter. It’s next to some blue barrels.
ACT IV: Chapter 4 – Powerless
COG Tag – P. Wood
Advance the story until you reach the top of the dam where you have to go through some giant gears. After that, you need two people to open a set of doors. Walk into the hallway past the doors and head inside the control room on the left (a bit further down the path).
Check behind the console in the middle to find another COG Tag.

Further in the chapter you have to complete a battle in a room with some giant moving chains which change their locations. After the battle, go through the next two doors and stop to see the “13E” mark on the wall in front of you.
Hug that wall to reach the collectible sitting on top of some wooden crates.
ACT IV: Chapter 5 – Storm Warning

After the lengthy Windflare storm you finally reach the substation. There is a small office on the right side as you enter.
Head inside and pick up the last Gears of War 4 COG Tag in Act IV, from the desk on the left.
Letter
To advance the chapter and open the next path, you have to vent a coil and then destroy it. After that, go inside the large room with two big fans. Follow the left path up the stairs until you reach a room on the right which has its entrance blocked by a stack of sandbags.
Hop over them to find a letter next to a dead soldier. This is the final Gears of War 4 Act IV collectible.
