There are more Gears of War 4 collectibles that can be found in Act III of the game, and the following guide was created to help those who have difficulties in locating them.
If you are not sure how many collectables you found during a chapter, you can open the pause menu at any time and check the lower right corner to find the exact number.
Gears of War 4 Act III features 6 chapters and includes 14 collectibles that can be acquired. It is the second highest number of collectibles that you can find in an act, right after Act I. Three of those 14 collectibles are COG Tags.
To find more clues about the Swarm that abducted Kait’s people, Marcus takes the group to Fort Reval, where an old Locust burial site is located.
But it doesn’t take long and Marcus is abducted by a Snatcher. Now, the mission turns into a rescue. The path takes them through the fortress from a funicular ride to the catacombs, and finally to an abandoned mine.
The mine may be the burial site they were searching and also the location where Marcus was taken, but in order to reach the bottom they have to survive waves of enemies while riding an old ore transporter.
It is a lengthy act, hence it is recommended to follow our guide and look for collectables following the same order as we did, if you wish to avoid another playthrough.

ACT III: Chapter 1 – Almost Midnight
COG ID Bracelet
After you start the chapter, you have to go through an archway made of stone in order to advance. Before doing that check the vegetation on the left side to find a bracelet collectible on the ground.
Ancient Book
When you find the goo formation that can be interacted with (from a cocoon), go right and down the hallway. You should see the book collectible glowing on a table.
ACT III: Chapter 2 – Night Terrors

After you cross the stable with more cocoons, something waits for you when you open the doors. When the area is clear don’t lift the statue to clear the path, turn left instead, and check the container next to the fire wood to find another Gears of War 4 collectible.
COG Tag – D. Nunez
Later in the chapter you kick a door inside a mansion and the camera pans to see the tram station in the distance. Turn right to spot the COG Tag collectible next to a dead body.

Close to the end of the chapter you find yourself in a courtyard with a statue right in the center. Go left under an archway to find the collectible on a stone bench.
ACT III: Chapter 3 – At the Doorstep

After riding the tram, you end up in an area above the rails where you have to kick open a door. Before doing that, hop over the fallen column and follow the path to find the statue collectible next to a trash bin overlooking the tram.
Evacuation Procedures
Later in this chapter, you find yourself in a courtyard with blue flags on the right side. Complete the shootout that starts when you arrive, and then cross the bridge. Make a left turn inside the open building/garage to spot the collectible on the far wall.

When you find the enemy encampment that is protected by a turret (the camera pans a bit), follow the left wall to find a staircase. At the top, and a bit to the right, is another Gears of War 4 collectible.
COG Tag – W. Owen
As you enter the castle keep, after lowering the draw bridge, follow the hallways upstairs. Vault over a shelf around the yellow crates in the far right corner, to find another COG Tag collectible.
ACT III: Chapter 4 – Do Not Go Gentle
COG Tag – A. Josefson
When you track the Snatcher inside the catacombs, you have to drop down through a hole in the floor. After that, turn right in front of the table with the Buzzkill weapon on it, and up the stairs in the corner you will find the last COG Tag in Gears of War 4 Act III.
Silver Age Dagger
After a large battle in this chapter, you have to open a grated gate that requires two people to operate: one to lift the door and the other one to pull a chain. In the room behind the gate, walk until you reach an archway guarded by two statues.
Turn right while facing the archway to find the dagger collectible between some pots.
ACT III: Chapter 5 – Elevator to Hell

Right at the start of the chapter you find the ore transporter, which is basically the large platform that you’re standing on. Hop down and head inside the structure labeled “CONTROL”.
Head towards the objective, and as you go through the last oval door turn left across the bunks to find the Gears of War 4 collectible sitting on a toilet.
ACT III: Chapter 6 – Origins
Locust Shell Crystal
After the cutscene where the team is overlooking the hive, which is the destination, turn left and head on the only available path. As you descend the first set of stairs inspect the fossilized Locust shell to unlock the collectible.
Mine Scavenger List
After the fight with the Pouncers, you have to open a set of doors to progress. When you open them, you find more crates with dumped weapons. Go behind the ones on the left side to pick up the final Gears of War 4 Act III collectible.
