Even if Ubisoft decided to skip releasing a new main title in the Assassin’s Creed franchise this year, there are plenty of good news coming from the French video game developer and publisher.
Starting with the Assassin’s Creed action-adventure film which is going to be released on December 21, 2016, and ending with the recently leaked Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, Ubisoft is taking care of its fans.
While Ubisoft didn’t actually confirm the existence of Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, this week, a poster obtained by Gameblog.fr revealed the games and bonuses included in the collection.
As you can see below, The Ezio Collection includes three video games: Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. But there is more information Gameblog.fr managed to obtain on this collection of video games.
According to the French website, Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection also includes all DLCs released for these three titles, as well as two animated films featuring Ezio.
Most likely these films will be Assassin’s Creed: Lineage and Assassin’s Creed: Embers.
Furthermore, the video games will run in 1080p and 30fps, and will feature overhauled textures.
Gameblog.fr wasn’t able to find out how much Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection will cost, or when it will be released, but Amazon.it decided that it’s time to answer these two questions.
As a result, the Italian retailer listed Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection today.
As you can see below, according to Amazon.it, The Ezio Collection will release November 17, 2016, for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The price listed by the retailer is EUR 50.82 which converts in USD 56.62. Obviously this will not be the exact price you will pay for the collection if you live outside Italy, but it will be close.
When asked why they will not release a new Assassin’s Creed game in 2016, Ubisoft said they are “stepping back and re-examining” the entire franchise.
It looks like this collection is a great way to start the whole re-examination process.
Don’t forget that Ubisoft continues to celebrate their 30th anniversary by offering each month a free PC game, and this month it’s Rayman Origins.
