Injustice Gods Among Us Characters Guide

Injustice: Gods Among Us Characters List

Up to 28 Injustice: Gods Among Us characters have been included in the final roster of the video game developed by NetherRealm Studios for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and iOS based devices; and the following guide reveals the complete list of fighters that can be accessed by those who play the videogame.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is a fighting videogame published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and it was officially announced on May 31, 2012.

Featuring a vast number of playing modes as well as bonus features, Injustice: Gods Among Us also includes a single-player campaign, which presents the events that occur after Superman destroys Metropolis.

Being tricked by Joker, Superman devastates the city, killing innocent civilians along with his beloved Lois Lane; however, some of the world’s mightiest super heroes led by Batman manage to escape.

Enraged and helped by a series of superheroes, Superman decides to introduce a new regime in Metropolis, but Batman and his rebels (insurgents) fight to stop him and free the remaining survivors.

The gameplay in Injustice: Gods Among is similar to the one experienced in Mortal Kombat 2011, which also developed by NetherRealm Studios, but there are several important changes that can be observed by players.

Battle Modes

The Battles Mode featured in Injustice: Gods Among Us, contains a series of challenges that can be completed to unlock additional Bonus Features.

These challenges can be compared with the Ladders available in Mortal Kombat, but in Injustice: Gods Among Us they have been altered.

For example, players can choose to play the Classic Battle Mode, in which they can pick one of the characters available in the game and beat the random opponents.

For finishing a Classic Battle Mode on any difficulty, players are awarded with a cutscene showing an alternate ending for the character they picked, along with the corresponding achievements and additional bonus items.

Another Battle Mode is the Heroes Only Mode that puts players in front of the world’s mightiest heroes; but in this mode, players can’t change the difficulty setting.

In this case, their opponents become stronger with each match. The Villains Only Battle Mode is similar to the Heroes Only Mode; however, in this mode players will have to fight against the most dangerous villains.

In the Poisoned Battle Mode, players must beat their opponents as quickly as possible because the characters they control are poisoned, meaning that their health is constantly drained.

On the other hand, in Survivor Mode, players can earn additional health by performing chained combos and other special moves. The video game features 20 Battle Modes that can be unlocked in the Extras Menu.

S.T.A.R. Labs

An Injustice: Gods Among Us S.T.A.R. Lab is a single-level challenge, which awards even more experience points, thus allowing players to level up.

Each Injustice character can complete up to 10 S.T.A.R. Labs Missions, meaning that there is a total of 240 S.T.A.R. Labs Challenges in Injustice: Gods Among Us.

The first mission in a set is usually the easiest, since players must perform a series of combos in order to learn how to fight with the character they have picked; but the difficulty increases gradually with each STAR Lab mission.

An important aspect that must be remembered is that an Injustice S.T.A.R. Lab mission features three objectives, awarded with stars. The stars are required to unlock new challenges; therefore, players should focus on getting three stars in all S.T.A.R Labs side-missions, if they wish to unlock all challenges.

Three stars can be earned in multiple playthroughs, as long as players complete their objectives. One of the S.T.A.R Labs missions in the video game is S.T.A.R. LAB Mission 003, also known as Superman Mission 3 or Kryptonite Batarangs.

In this specific mission, players have three objectives to complete in order to get three stars. Their first goal is to defeat Batman, for the second they have to use an interactive object, and for the third star they must avoid getting hit by a Batarang.

Even if players manage to complete the first two objectives; thus earning two stars, they can replay the mission and focus on avoiding the Batarangs Batman throws at Superman, and unlock the third star.

All stars unlocked in a S.T.A.R Lab mission remain active until the end of the game.

Backgrounds, Icons and Portraits

At the beginning of the game, players can access the Bonus Features menu which contains two additional sub-menus. The first sub-menu is the Hero Card where players can customize their cards by changing their backgrounds, icons and portraits.

New Injustice: Gods Among Us backgrounds, icons and portraits can be unlocked by leveling up, completing different sections in the video game, or by performing different moves and combos while playing as specific characters.

The Hero Card also tracks the player’s progress by providing useful information such as the longest combo performed, the number of background elements used, victories and level transitions.

Music, Concept Art, Extras and Characters

The second sub-menu in the Bonus Features is the Archives menu. It contains various items that can be unlocked or purchased using Armor Keys or Access Cards. The Armor Keys and Access Cards are awarded for beating the game’s levels, for leveling up, or for playing online.
