After you complete Mission 10 in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, another important choice must be made, and your decision will affect the number of eBooks you will get at the end of the game.
Assuming that you collected all eBooks when you visited Prague the second time, and you continued to focus on completing other story missions, you will eventually play Mission 10, named Facing the Enigma.
At the end of this mission, you will be contacted by Nomad who will ask you to help him save his daughter Allison. If you say no to Nomad you will be able to rob a bank and get your hands on an important evidence on Versalife. The decision is entirely yours, but here are the consequences.
Should you opt to save Allison, you will be able to play Mission 11 named Confronting the Bomb-Maker and skip Mission 12 entirely. Miller will be happy with your actions, Allison will survive, but you will miss an eBook required for the Tablet Collector trophy/achievement, thus a new playthrough will be required.
On the other hand, if you decide to rob the bank, you will skip Mission 11, but you will unlock Mission 12 named The Heist. In this case Allison will die, Miller will be quite angry, but you will get the eBook revealed below.
In other words, if your sole purpose is to find all Deus Ex: Mankind Divided eBooks, you should go with Mission 12 and let Allison die.
The guide below reveals the eBooks that can be found in Mission 12, as well as the collectibles that must be acquired after you finish the mission, in Church of the Machinegod.
eBook #60 – Bob Page – Anatomy of a Prodigy
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided eBook 60, must be found when you play Mission 12. The moment you accept to complete the bank mission you will be asked to go to the bank.
While staying in front of the building (first picture below), move forward, and go through the main doors. In the lobby, turn left to see the collectible on a couch (left side).
The location can be observed in the second picture below.
eBook #61 – Jus in Bello
After you get the previous collectible, simply turn right, and follow the stairs nearby to the next level.
Turn right when you reach the top, and you will see another eBook on the table nearby.
eBook #62 – Palisade: Clients & Services
Remain in the lobby and from the previous collectable, turn around and approach the balcony. Jump down to the lower level and move forward.
Take the left corridor (notice the large 1 on the wall), and turn right when you reach the other side.
Go through the door, and in the next office (restricted area), check the large desk with a laptop on it.
eBook #63 – Palisade: Property & Data Protection
For Deus Ex: Mankind Divided eBook 63 you have to reach Level 9 of Palisade Property Bank.
Make sure you position Adam as in the first picture below, and notice that his location is at the door to the CTO’s Office.
From here, follow the stairs up and enter the CEO’s office. Check the backroom and near the door you will find a mechanical puzzle.
Solve the puzzle, and you will enter the office nearby. Turn left at the entrance to spot the eBook near a coffeemaker.
eBook #64 – AJ09-0921 Patient X
The final eBook in Palisade Property Bank is also the one you will miss if you help Allison, because you won’t be able to enter the Property Vaults.
If you made the right decision, then head to Level 1 (as pictured) and while standing at the entrance look for a keycard reader in the middle of the room.
Use it to call the elevator, and in the next room check the desk on the left side to see the eBook near a laptop.
eBook #65 – The Singularity Church of the Machine God
The next three Deus Ex: Mankind Divided eBooks are located inside the Church of the Machinegod building, which opens after you complete Mission 12.
In the first screenshot below notice that our starting point is the alley in front of the said building.
To get eBook 65, enter the building and cross the first room looking for a set of stairs on the right side (near the white neon writing on the wall). Go up one level and turn left when you reach the top.
Enter apartment number 90, turn left and on the other side of the room check the right corner of the large table for the eBook.
eBook #66 – Global Politics Review (2029 Edition), Chapter 6
From the previous eBook, retrace your step outside, but remain on the same floor (level). Go around the balcony and look for an apartment with a wooden door (91).
It should be on the other side of the balcony.
Open the door, and in the next room check the table on your right (notice that there are some pizza boxes on it, as well as the eBook).
eBook #67 – Global Politics Review (2029 Edition), Chapter 6
Now, exit the previous apartment, and head right looking for apartment 92. It’s several steps away from apartment 91.
Open the door, turn right, cross the first room and turn left to see another door. Open it, and then check the floor of the bathroom.
After you get these collectibles, it’s time to start Mission 13: GARM which includes 3 eBooks. Don’t forget that you can always follow our stealth video walkthrough for Mission 12 if you have difficulties in completing The Heist.
