Borderlands 3 Confirmed By Gearbox

Borderlands 3 Confirmed By Gearbox

At PAX East 2016, Gearbox officially announced that they will develop their third Borderlands video game according to Eurogamer.net.

The third because, Borderlands The Pre-Sequel was developed by 2K Australia.

This, however, will not happen until they finish working on Battleborn and all its DLCs, but Randy Pitchford, CEO at Gearbox confirmed what most fans wanted to hear:

“It’s no secret, obviously there’s going to be another Borderlands.”

Although it’s not sure how it will be called, according to the CEO:

“We don’t even know if we’re going to call it that. We could call it Borderlands 4 for all we know.”

What it is sure, on the other hand, is that Battleborn includes many Borderlands easter eggs, while it’s DLCs will feature some Borderlands 3 easter eggs.

Furthermore, Borderlands 3 will be written by Mikey Neumann, who provided Scooter’s voice.

Mikey Neumann might add a new character, named Scooper, who will be Scooter’s son:

“I did this whole Scooter thing, then I pitch-shifted it up like seven semitones so it sounds like a chipmunk and it was the funniest thing I’d ever heard.”

So are you excited for a new Borderlands game? How should they call it? Borderlands 3 or Borderlands 4?
