Xbox One Halo Wars 2
If you are eager to play the new Halo Wars 2 video game developed by 343 Industries and Creative Assembly exclusively for Xbox One and Windows 10, you might want to cancel your digital pre-order and consider buying the physical edition of the title, especially if you are a video games collector.
Lars Wingefors, the founder and CEO of THQ Nordic, recently announced that both Standard and Ultimate Edition of Halo Wars 2 will be available in physical format, and can be purchased from local retailers.
“After working on so many titles together with Microsoft in 2016, we are stoked to start the year with another partnership. Being able to deliver such a big franchise to RTS and Halo fans alike, the opportunity to buy and own this game in a beautiful physical shape is something we appreciate a lot”, Lars Wingefors said.
Halo Wars 2 will release on February 21, 2017, with two editions available at launch: Standard and Ultimate Edition.
The Halo Wars 2 Standard Edition costs $59.96 on Amazon, and along the video game you will also receive a pre-order bonus which includes the exclusive Captain Cutter Pack.
Obviously, this pre-order bonus is available only on Amazon, and it will give you access to new cards that can be used in Blitz Mode.
Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition on the other hand, can be purchased for $79.99 on Amazon.
It comes with everything that’s included in Halo Wars 2 Standard Edition, as well as four days of early access, the Halo Wars 2 Season Pass, and a digital code for Halo Wars: Definitive Edition.
If you prefer owning a physical copy (disc) of Halo Wars 2, you can choose one of these editions, and you will get everything above packed in beautiful cases (see below).
According to Lars Wingefors, there will be no difference in the price you have to pay for a physical copy of Halo Wars 2 and a digital copy, so if you collect video games, getting the discs seems like a pretty good deal.
