South Park: The Fractured But Whole Release Date Pushed to 2017

South Park: The Fractured But Whole Release Date Pushed to 2017

Today Ubisoft announced in a blog post that South Park: The Fractured But Whole was delayed, and it will now release in Q1 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

According to the French developer and publisher, the team working on the latest South Park installment “wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal.”

Ubisoft’s announcement is not surprising, since these days a large number of video games get delayed; however, what is unusual is the fact that Ubisoft didn’t announce a specific release date.

All we know is that the game will be released in the first quarter of 2017, which is rather vague since Q1 includes three months.

This means that by the end of 2016, Ubisoft will only release two games (Watch Dogs 2 and Steep), instead of three that were scheduled before this announcement.

Officially revealed at E3 2016, South Park: The Fractured But Whole is a role-playing game and the sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth, released in 2014.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft revealed all South Park: The Fractured But Whole editions and pre-order bonuses which include a free copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth.

So, if you were looking to buy a South Park: The Fractured But Whole Collector’s Edition, now you have more time to save money and secure a copy.

The CE sells for $99.99 and includes a 6-inch Coon figurine as well as a 3 postcards and various in-game bonuses.

If you prefer only the standard version of the game, which also comes with a copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth, you can buy it for $59.96 from Amazon.

Along with the free copy of SoT you will also receive “Towelie: Your Gaming Bud”, to help you during your adventures in South Park.
