Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII Walkthrough

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Aspiring Bandit Walkthrough

Activated by talking to Adonis, in Ruffian, the second main-quest in Dead Dunes is known as Aspiring Bandit, and it requires your presence in the passage south from the Den of Thieves.

Aspiring Bandit is a short Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII quest, because it also includes a side-quest named Adonis’s Audition.

In other words, after you complete Bandits of the Desert, and you find Adonis, he will ask you to complete a trial if you want to join the gang.

For this trial, which is also the objective in Adonis’s Audition, you will have to defeat a common beast, and stop the storm that blocks the passage south from Ruffian.

Quest Walkthrough

If you have followed or walkthrough for Adonis’s Audition, you already know that the sandstorm can be stopped by fighting a Gurangatch.

You also know that you will have to cross the Grave of the Colossi and head south in order to reach the exclamation mark on your map.

Since the Gurangatch is an accessible opponent the moment it loses the carapace, make sure you use wind-based attacks on him and then strike the beast with physical attacks.

Once you emerge victorious from the battle, you will get a Pilgrim’s Crux and Adonis will congratulate you for unlocking a new path towards Ruffian. All you have to do now is to return to Ruffian and seek Adonis, thus completing Adonis’s Audition, and triggering a new cutscene which introduces Fang.

As depicted by the cutscenes that follow, Fang agrees to join you and she is an important asset. When you get her in your party, you should focus on the third main-quest and then attempt all side-quests that become available.

On the other hand, if you play only the main quests, after you defeat the final boss in Dead Dunes, Fang will leave the party; hence you won’t receive any help from her while fighting your opponents.
