Today, The Coalition and Microsoft Studios announced that Gears of War 4 has gone gold, which means that the studio working on the latest Gears of War title has finished development and the game is ready to be played.

This exciting announcement was accompanied by the Gears of War 4 launch trailer you can watch below.

The trailer features both J.D. Fenix and his father Marcus, while the soundtrack from the video is a cover of Nothing Else Matters performed by Lissie.

The original version of Nothing Else Matters was released on April 20, 1992, being performed by Metallica.

In the trailer, Marcus reveals some of the events that took place 25 years after the destruction of the Locust and the Lambent.

Along with several characters from the game, the trailer also shows new enemies and some of the weapons we will be able to access in Gears of War 4.

Seeing Marcus again while listening to Nothing Else Matters is a great way to announce that Gears of War 4 has gone gold.

Microsoft Studios and The Coalition picked the perfect song for the launch trailer, since Nothing Else Matters delivers a deep message about freedom.

Last month, Microsoft Studios also announced all pre-order bonuses available for those who decide to purchase Gears of War 4, and the system requirements for the PC version of the game.

Furthermore, the publisher confirmed that the Gears of War 4 soundtrack will be composed by Ramin Djawadi, which demonstrates that Microsoft spared no expense for their latest exclusive title.

Gears of War 4 will release worldwide October 11, 2016 for Xbox One and PC.

If you missed the launch trailer, you should really see it.
