Game Of Thrones Season 7 Release Date Leaked

It seems that the release date of Game of Thrones Season 7 has been leaked online before any official announcement.

Following a delay in filming, it was known that the movie will not make it to its usual April slot, and instead be released sometime in the summer.

But now we might have an exact date. IMDB briefly listed the first episode of Season 7 to air June 25 – on what it seems to be the mobile app – before “correcting” the mistake and changing it back to a more generic ‘2017’ date.

A screenshot of the leak can be seen on Twitter account @GoTsources:

HBO hasn’t commented yet, but it’s likely that a trailer will be released in the following weeks, taking into account that filming will complete in mid-February, so fingers crossed.

Instead of 10 episodes as before, Game of Thrones Season 7 and Season 8 will have 7 and 6 episodes, respectively. Even with the lower number of episodes, Iain Glen, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont, mentioned that the team filmed as much time as they would do on ten episodes.

“They are taking the length of time it takes to shoot ten episodes to shoot just seven this year and six next year. There are fifteen more hours left in Thrones as we understand it, but that may change, but that’s as far as we know.”

We know that the delay was caused by the weather. With the action moving up north, the production team opted for real winter and snow instead of CGI effects, so they had to wait for bad weather.

Take these into consideration and the June 25 date doesn’t look like a mistake anymore.

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Arya Stark

Maisie Williams admitted that Arya Stark will survive and make it to Season 8. But other characters aren’t that safe, this is Game of Thrones after all. And what about Daenerys’ dragons? There are some interesting spoilers circulating on the internet, but I’ll leave them out of this article (no, they won’t die).

Game of Thrones Season 7 will air this summer on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic in the UK – the wait is killing us!

However, there’s plenty of time to binge watch the first six GoT seasons. What edition to buy… Personally, I’d choose the Game of Thrones Season 1-6 Bronze Bust Edition listed by Amazon. Have you even looked at that statue?!

So, what do you think about the release date of Game of Thrones Season 7? Is the leak to be trusted, or does HBO has something else in mind?
