September is going to be a very busy month for all Ubisoft fans, as the studio recently announced that they will run a closed alpha for their upcoming hack and slash game named For Honor.
Along with the details regarding the closed alpha, Ubisoft also published three new trailers for the heroes available in the game.
The closed alpha starts September 15, 2016 (6 am PDT / 2 pm BST) and will end September 18 (5 pm PDT) / September 19 (1 am BST).
If you wish to participate and test For Honor on your PC, PS4 or Xbox One, you can sign up here.
After you create an account on uPlay, you will be asked to choose your preferred gaming platform.
During the closed alpha you are allowed to stream, share, and tweet about the game.
Furthermore, you will gain access to three maps (Overwatch, River Fort and Citadel Gate) as well as three game modes: Dominion (4 VS 4), Brawl (2 VS 2) and Duel (1 VS 1).
Six playable characters (two from each faction) have also been confirmed for the closed alpha. If you choose the Samurai faction, you can play as Orochi or Kensei.
The Raider and the Berserker from the Vikings faction, along with the Conqueror and Warden from the Knights faction are also available during the closed alpha.
Before choosing the hero you wish to play with, take a look below at the latest trailers revealed by Ubisoft.
The first trailer shows The Kensei, wielding the nodachi sword. This large sword was used by the samurai class in feudal Japan, but because of its length (around 90.91 cm), the nodachi lost its popularity and later it was forbidden by the Shogunal governments.
The next trailer shows The Raider, or the Viking, who wields the Dane Axe, also known as the English long axe or the Danish axe. Historical documents mention that Richard the Lionheart also used a Dane Axe.
It is also said, yet unconfirmed, that Robert the Bruce, who was the King of Scotland, killed Henry de Bohun with a Dane Axe.
The powerful blow split de Bohun’s skull as well as his helmet.
The last trailer shows The Warden or the Knight. Unlike the two previous classes, Wardens wield long swords, usually used by crusaders during the late middle ages.
According to historical writings, a long-sword had a double-edged blade with a length of 85 to 110 cm.
Last month Ubisoft also announced all For Honor editions you can pre-order, including an impressive Collector’s Edition which comes with a 3 metal helmets on a wooden stand.
