Mission 1, which takes place in Dubai, is the first mission in the video game featuring one of these collectibles.
If this is the first time you are reading our Deus Ex: Mankind Divided collectibles guide, make sure you check out the tips and tricks on how we are going to approach these eBooks, in order to help you unlock the Tablet Collector achievement/ trophy.
While playing the first mission you won’t have to make any choices that will affect the locations of the eBook you have to read.
As a reminder, don’t forget to save the game immediately after you find the eBook, because you won’t be able to replay the mission if you miss it, and if you die while playing Mission 1, the collectible will not stay in your inventory unless you reach a checkpoint.
eBook #1 – Tales of the Arabian Front
The first Deus Ex: Mankind Divided eBook is rather easy to find, if you are focused on completing all objectives.
It is located near the Signal Booster, that must be disabled as a secondary objective.
In case you don’t want to complete that objective, here is how to find the eBook.
Your starting point (first picture below) is Level 1 of the main building featured in Mission 1. From there, advance towards the main objective point and stay close to the right wall.
The location you have to reach is the penthouse. Look for a door on the right side of the hallway, follow the spiral staircase that leads to the second level, and when you reach the top, enter the door on the right.
In front of you is the signal booster (notice the green light), and behind it you should see a small antenna.
Look at the base of the antenna for the eBook (second picture).

Once you finish the mission, you will visit Prague for the first time, and after a long cutscene you will also be able to unlock Mission 2.
