If you wish to participate in the Battlefield 1 open beta, now it’s a good time to sign up and receive some of the goodies provided by EA.
EA announced earlier this week that the free Battlefield 1 open beta starts August 31 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Origin for PC.
If you wish to enter the beta even earlier, you can do so by joining the Battlefield Insider here.
To secure your spot; however, make sure you join before August 21, and you will receive the beta code via email. During the process you will be able to select your preferred platform.
According to EA, the Battlefield 1 open beta features one map (Sinai Desert) and two modes.
First we have the Conquest mode for 64 players fighting to gain control over key objectives. Here is the official description:
“An all-time fan favorite of Battlefield players, Conquest is a large-scale game mode with up to 64 players fighting for the control of key objectives. With large armies on foot or behind the wheel and the addition of fearsome Behemoths, Conquest brings together all the elements of the signature Battlefield All-Out War.”
The second mode included in Battlefield 1 open beta is Rush. In this mode, designed for 24 players, one team will have to protect Telegraph Posts, while the other team must destroy them.
“A 24-player mode where the Attacking force must find and destroy the Defending force’s Telegraph Posts, which can be used to call in artillery strikes. The Defenders can deny the Attackers their mission by disarming explosives they plant on the telegraph positions. Should the Telegraph Posts be destroyed, the Defenders must fall back to the next sector and protect the Telegraph Posts there.”
Battlefield 1 was officially announced by EA on June 8, 2016, being schedule for release on October 21, 2016 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
At Gamescom 2016, along with the official announcement regarding the Battlefield 1 beta, EA also revealed a new trailer, and as you can see below, it looks amazing.
