The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, also known simply as Skyrim, is an open-world role-playing video game released on November 11, 2011 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
It was one of the most expected video games of 2011 and it was developed by Bethesda Game Studios, being published by Bethesda Softworks.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the fifth title in the Elder Scrolls series of video games, but it is not a sequel to Oblivion.
Skyrim starts a new chapter in the Elder Scrolls franchise, and the action in the game takes place 200 years after the events presented in Oblivion.
The story revolves around the players character, which begins his epic journey in a world devastated by a civil war that erupted when Ulfric Stormcloak, the Jarl of Windhelm, assassinated the High King of Skyrim.
The Nord race divided in two factions formed by those who wanted for Skyrim to be part of the Empire and those who believed that Skyrim should keep its independence.
Introduction
The game starts with the main character imprisoned in a cart, on the way to Helgen, along with other captives.
The guards believe that he is a member of the Stormcloaks, a group of rebels formed by Ulfric Stormcloak, the High Kings assassin.
When the character reaches the camp, the player is able to create and customize his character, on his way to the execution. Skyrim includes 10 playable races to choose from, all of them featuring different abilities and skills.
After the customization process, the player is able to watch a short cutscene showing a dragon interrupting the execution.
Eventually, the hero escapes and the player receives his first quest.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is divided in three acts and features 20 main-quests.
Players who manage to finish these quests will beat the game; however in order to complete the game 100%, Skyrim fans will also have to finish multiple side-quests and objectives.
The following Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Walkthrough explains how to beat Skyrim and how to complete all quests added by developers.
Additionally, the game guide offers information regarding all rewards, NPCs, factions, and areas that must be visited by players.
