The Secrets of Loc Muinne is a side-quest available in the third chapter of the Witcher 2 AOK Enhanced Edition, and can be activated by visiting the town-square.
It is an Enhanced Edition exclusive quest and can be played only if you side with Iorveth.
The Secrets of Loc Muinne is a short quest, but to complete it you have to solve a series of puzzles and riddles.
To start this quest, when you first enter the city, visit the central area and you will trigger a cutscene showing the scholars you have met in Flotsam.
Quest Description
“Not far from the larger tower located at the center of Loc Muinne, Geralt ran into a peculiar pair of gentleman whom I may already have mentioned. If I did not, know that they were alchemists, shady characters calling themselves scholars, though they certainly were not known in academic circles.
They informed the witcher that the great Dearhennas laboratory was nestled somewhere beneath the ruined city. Although this mage had died many centuries earlier, he remained quite famous. If Dearhennas laboratory contained scholarly treasures documenting but a fraction of his knowledge, or even more tantalizingly one of the sorcerers creations, and expedition in search of it would be certainly be worth the effort.
Geralt was intrigued, took the alchemists up on their offer, and entered the tower to meet the expeditions members.”

Walkthrough
When you reach the cellar, let Cynthia talk and hear her deal. Makes sure you agree to her proposal. From this moment on, all you have to do is to focus on exploring the tunnels, and follow your team. Stay close to Cynthia and be on your guard, because there are many enemies lurking around.
Move slowly and eventually you will reach the first guardian.
Note: It is a good idea to save your game, because the puzzle you must solve can be different than the one presented below, as well as the answers you can give. If you give a wrong answer, Geralt dies and you must restart.
Approach the guardian and talk to him. If the riddle is:
Capable of kindness and cruelty, I take victims when I sour. I can be on your side or wrong you. I bring gifts, though you already have me.
then the possible answers are : A river, an elf, love, a lover, a king, fate. In this case the correct answer is fate.
Note: The correct answers to the first puzzle are usually those at the bottom of the list; however it is not a rule.
After you solve the first puzzle, save the game again, and proceed through the door protected by the guardian.
Continue to follow Cynthia and in the next room you will have to fight several knights. Kill them and make sure you loot the highlighted items: Legendary Treasures, The Gnomes of Mahakam and Tir Tochair, Astrological Charts and Astrological Curios.
Next, approach the second guardian and after you save your game, you have to solve another puzzle. Make sure you give the following answers, to solve the riddle:
First verse: – The dragon constellation
Second verse: The full moon
Third verse: The mine entrance in the mountainside
Now, place Geralt in the first alcove on the right side of the guardian, and the door will open while one of your party members dies.
Save the game again, and enter through the next door, where a golem awaits you. Here, you will have to solve the last riddle.
The trick to this puzzle is to ask as many questions as you can, but to avoid the highlighted one, which automatically triggers a fight. In this case, you will probably die, because the golems are very powerful. Dont try to intimidate the golem, just ask him all questions until you unlock a new option in the dialogue: I know enough. Next, make sure your answers are:
I know you are a guardian and I respect that.
I am a guest here and I wish to talk.
Lets talk about lies and delusions.
Only you and the masters will exist. Everything else is doubtful.
If you follow these answers you will avoid a fight with the golem. Explore the laboratory and talk to Cynthia to complete The Secrets of Loc Muinne. If you loot all Dearhennas notes you will also finish the side-quest called Dearhennas Journal.
