The Endrega Contract is a Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition side-mission you can complete during in the first act of the video game.
To begin The Endrega Contract side-quest, you must activate it by picking up the notes on the board in Flotsam.
Quest Description
Endregas were multiple in the Flotsam area. The monsters had become such a scourge that Bernard Loredo, though stingy by nature, posted a bounty for their extermination.
The witcher accepted the job and decided that a little theoretical preparation might pay off. Reading about the Endregas habits would be worth it.
Endregas are very similar to butterflies, except that they are ugly, cannot fly and would choke on cabbage. All right, maybe they are like butterflies, but they do weave cocoons. The witcher learned that destroying these cocoons would draw the Endrega queens, and their deaths would mean the end of the swarm.
When to start
While playing the side-quest called Malena
Walkthrough
When you play the side-quest mentioned above, you will be asked to meet Malena near the waterfall (assuming that you decide to lie for her). The waterfall is located in the forest south from Flotsam, and to reach that specific location, you will have to kill many two types of monsters: Endrega and Nekkers.
This exploration allows you to finish two side-quests (The Endrega Contract and The Nekker Contract), while playing the third (Malena).
The first type looks like a spider, but it has the sting of a scorpion. Endregas are vulnerable to fire, so make sure you use the Igni Sign while fighting against them. Dont forget to dodge and stay away from their poisonous stings.
To complete the quest, look around in the forest for some green cocoons. Attack one of them and you will notice that it will open. Inside, you should see a larva, which can be attacked. Make sure you destroy at least four cocoons and stay sharp because a queen will spawn near you. Unlike normal Endregas, their queen is more powerful, but it is also vulnerable to fire.
Combat Tip: Stay near the queen all the time and continue to land strong attacks. Dont run away because the queen will charge, inflicting a huge amount of damage. Hit the queen all the time and combine your sword attacks with the Igni Sing.
To complete the quest, you must kill two queens, and then you will be able to return to Flotsam and collect your reward from Louis Merse who resides near the scaffold.
Note: Make sure you loot the Endregas you kill, and eventually you will find the fetus of an Endrega, which is one of the items required by Anezka (Melitele’s Heart side-quest).
