During the night, in Flotsam, if you visit the building next to the inn, you will be able to start a side-quest called Hung Over.
This Witcher 2 side-quest requires your presence in Roche’s headquarters, at midnight.
The building is located near the inn, to the left, while facing the inns entrance.
When you get inside you will see two soldiers dinking at a table in the chamber to the right. One of them is Fenn. Talk to him and throw some daggers in a contest against Ves, to activate the quest.

“You may remember that Geralt decided to have a friendly drink with Roches men.
He awoke later on with a monstrous hangover and a nagging feeling that he had done something he should not have. He decided to learn the truth and questioned the Madame.”

Eventually, your celebration is interrupted by some villagers who claim that Roches men destroyed a statue.
Make sure you protect the villagers during the next dialogues, and calm Vernon. Accept Vess invitation to have some drinks with her.
Next, try to win the arm wrestling competition, if you wish to get the Sword of Creyden. The competition is followed by more beers and a crazy night. You will end up on the beach, naked.
One of the villagers will appear in front of you telling you that he will explain what happened, if you pay him.
You can also intimidate him if you wish. The villager tells you to ask Madame Margot inside the inn (her room is in the basement, along with other prostitutes).
According to Madame Margot you had a “wild night” even if Ves tried to stop you. Next visit Ves and she will confirm that Margot tells the truth. The quest ends after you speak to Ves in Roches HQs. Grab your equipment and clothes, on your way out.
