Following the announcement of the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare video game, developed by Infinity Ward, gamers all around the world started to react and share their opinions about the official trailer that was published on May 2, 2016.
Along with some mean comments, YouTube users also hit the dislike button. A lot !
In fact, as of May 5, 2016, the new CoD Infinite Warfare trailer gathered 7,654,048 views, which is an impressive number, since this number was achieved in 3 days.
The problem, however, is that the same trailer received 175,741 likes and 289,135 dislikes. Yes, you got that right. Almost double.
Why is that?
Is it because gamers are tired of this franchise? Is it because people are getting sick of sci-fi? Or is it because the trailer it’s just weak?
The number of dislikes the trailer received set a new record according to Redditor ImLuddx, who posted a chart showing how people reacted to previous trailers.
Notice that for all previous Call of Duty trailers the number of YouTube likes is higher than the number of dislikes.
