Trine is a platform video game developed by Frozenbyte for PC and PlayStation Network.
The title was released on July 3, 2009 for PC and October 22, 2009 for PSN in North America.
The PlayStation Network version of the game became available in Europe, on September 17, 2009. One year later, on November 2, 2010, a Mac OS X version of the game was published, and on April 12, 2011, a Linux version.
The gameplay in Trine is similar to the one experienced in The Lost Vikings, a video game developed by Silicon & Synapse in 1992.
Trine features three character classes: Thief, Knight and Wizard who fight together, as a team, against an army of undead which tries to destroy their kingdom.
Each character features unique abilities and skills, but players must combine them in order to advance in the game. Each level is filled with puzzles, treasures and enemies that must be killed by the three heroes.
