As soon as you defeat Alduin during the Dragonslayer quest, the final part of Skyrim starts, and our Skyrim walkthrough explains how to complete this quest.
It is the Epilogue of the game; however, just like all the quests you solved in the previous acts, the Epilogue features an objective.
The following Skyrim walkthrough refers strictly to this part, revealing the steps that must be followed by those who have slayed Alduin.
It is important to know that even if the main-quests end here, players will be able to complete other side-quests, faction quests or dungeon quests.
The vast world of Skyrim must be fully explored in order to complete the game 100%, and all quests must be completed.
While the game’s main story line ends after the Epilogue, the adventure in Skyrim continues.
The first objective of the Epilogue appears as soon as Alduin falls in the battle.
Objective: Speak to Tsun to return to Skyrim
After you defeat Alduin, Tsun appears and congratulates you. You saved Sovngarde and the world, champion! Your deed will be told in the Hall of Valor for centuries to come.
At this point you can talk to the heroes that helped you in battle, or you can talk to Tsun, who can send you back to Skyrim, but before this, he will grant you a new shout that allows you to call an ancient hero to help you in the battles that follow.
Learn the shout and then talk to Tsun who sends you back to the Throat of the World, using Shors Might.
When you reach the Throat of the World, you will see several dragons standing on the mountaintop, performing a chant for their dead leader and god, Alduin.
Among them you can see Odahviing and Paarthurnax; however, Paarthurnax appears only if you didn’t kill him in the quest you received from the Blades.
The dragons wont attack you, and they will fly away after they finish the chant. Only Odahviing remains, because from now on he will serve you. A new shout is learned, a shout known as Call Dragon.
Travel to High Hrothgar and talk to Master Arngeir, who congratulates you for your victory, even if he still believes that Alduin may return.
Now, you should travel to Sky Haven Temple and talk to Delphine. Tell her that Alduin is dead, and she will congratulate you as well, but, she thinks that Alduin’s brother, Paarthurnax should also die.
You are now able to start the Paarthurnax main-quest, for the Blades, in case you didn’t finish it yet.
