Ken Masters or simply Ken is a Street Fighter character and Ryu’s best friend. Just like Ryu, he debuted in the first video game of the series, being one of the most popular characters, after his friend.
Ken began his life as a fighter at the age of 12, when his father, a very rich and powerful business man, sent him to Japan.
Ken and Ryu met at Gouken’s dojo and started their training. Ken find out that Ryu was Gouken’s adoptive son and when Ryu turned 23, their master decided that the training was complete.
While Ryu’s decision was to travel around the world to continue his training, Ken returned to U.S and participated in multiple Martial Arts tournaments.
In Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, Ken appears in a red costume and his in-game quote is: “I’m ready for ya. Bring it on!”.
