SoulCalibur V Characters Guide: Lord Geo Dampierre

Lord Geo Dampierre, first appeared in Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny and he is also a playable character in Soul Calibur 5.

Weapons and Moves (Attacks)

Judging by the name of Dampierre’s fighting style, Le Bello, his origins could be Italian but this fact is uncertain.

Lord Geo Dampierre fights his opponents using a set of unique hidden blades named Miraggio and Nebula.

History

In SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny, Dampierre’s history is marked by his cons, which provided him a luxurious life but when this came to an end, Dampierre started to rob and kidnap people.

Because he did not like this type of living, Dampierre decided to put all his fighting skills to a good purpose and went to Ostrheinsburg Castle to face some decent fighters.

The Magnificent, as Dampierre calls himself in SoulCalibur 5, owns a business The Dampierre Company situated in Venice.

Cheating, lying and looting treasures are Dampierre’s most known abilities.

Finding that the king of Hungary was preparing for war, Lord Geo Dampierre prepared to meet him and parted towards the Kingdom. Dampierre’s only thoughts of this war were the treasures coming out from it.

In the English version of SoulCalibur 5, actor Vic Mignogna is the one who voices Dampierre’s character and in the Japanese version, the character is voiced by Shigeru Chiba.

Lord Geo Dampierre could be considered the joker of the Soul series because of his funny quotes and moves. Pretending that he injures himself, to distract the opponent’s attention is just one of Dampierre’s tricks.

Quotes such as “Genius” can be  heard when Lord Geo Dampierre makes his final move, which consists in slide between the opponent’s legs and a kick  in the back.

Lord Geo Dampierre has also a lot of surprise moves that are possible because of his hidden weapons.
