Sniper Elite 4 | All 50 Letters From Home Collectibles Locations Guide

The Sniper Elite 4 Letters from Home are a type of collectibles that can be found in the videogame developed and published by Rebellion.
As you can probably tell, these are the usual letter collectibles that you find in similar games, but with a twist. Why is that? Because they come in 3 flavors: Letters from Home, Letters to Home, and Last Letters.
Sniper Elite 4 Letters from Home Details
The families or friends of the soldiers write about the harsh war through the Sniper Elite 4 Letters from Home. The collectibles can be found by exploring the environment, or on the bodies of soldiers that you recently killed.
That’s why it’s a good practice to mark the enemies with the binoculars and see if they carry an item of interest or not. However, the progress is saved instantly, so you don’t need to collect a Letter from Home again.
There are 10 missions in Sniper Elite 4 and each one features 5 Letters from Home, thus there are 50 of those.
If you don’t remember what you already found, you can use the collectible tracker from the pause menu or the Service Record in the main menu.
You unlock The Collector achievement/trophy if you manage to find all Letters from all 3 categories.
The following Sniper Elite 4 collectibles guide deals with the Letters from Home category and reveals their locations using text hints in correlation with maps.
Moreover, if you prefer a visual aid to a text guide, you can check the videos from our Sniper Elite 4 YouTube playlist.
Note: The guide does not include the collectibles from the two co-op Overwatch missions, Compound and Railyard.
Mission 1: San Celini Island

Letter from Home #1
The area marked by 1 on our map has 3 camp tents. The Letter from Home collectible is on a table inside one of the tents.
Letter from Home #2
The map shows you where to go for the second Letter from Home, but it’s misleading, since the collectible is below the main road, in the tunnel with the enemy checkpoint. You can find it on the desk in the lit area.
Letter from Home #3
In the area marked with x3 there is a small encampment featuring one tent. The third Sniper Elite 4 Letter from Home is on a crate inside the tent.
Letter from Home #4
Search the courtyard between the two houses to find a table with radio equipment. Next to it is the Letter from Home collectible.
Letter from Home #5
Behind General Schmidt’s villa there is a conveniently placed scaffolding. Use the two ladders to reach the room on the third floor, where you can get the fifth Letter from Home that’s on the desk.
Mission 2: Bitanti Village

Letter from Home #1
Outside the south entrance of the town is a parked truck, and in front of it there are a lot of various crates. The first Letter from Home in Mission 2 is on top of the largest one.
Letter from Home #2
At the marked point is a bedroom on the upper floor of the building. If you come from the cellar with the main objective you can reach it by using the stairs with the propaganda poster about the anti-air unit. Look for the Letter from Home on the small desk inside the bedroom.
Letter from Home #3
The third Letter from Home can be found on a folding chair that’s on the upper-floor terrace.
Letter from Home #4
This one is hard to get since it requires a tricky jump. Go to the second floor of the tavern in the plaza, then exit through the balcony at the back and drop down on the long T-shaped roof (it is bright orange on the map).
At the end of the roof you can jump through a door into the adjacent building. The collectible is on the open balcony that’s on the other side.
Letter from Home #5
Now go back on the T-shaped roof and walk toward its other end until you reach a large balcony.
Climb using the ladder, then immediately go down when you see another ladder. The last Letter from Home is on the railing of the tiny balcony.
Mission 3: Regilino Viaduct

Letter from Home #1
The first Letter from Home collectible is inside the lumber mill, on a workbench under the saw blades that are hung on the walls.
Letter from Home #2
There is a raised path overlooking the plane crash site. Walk on it to find a small crate and on it, the second Letter from Home.
Letter from Home #3
At the point indicated on our map you can find a yellow-painted two stories building. Around the back is a staircase. You can grab the Letter from Home from the bench that’s behind the staircase.
Letter from Home #4
This Letter from Home can be found inside the two stories house close to the enemy checkpoint. As you enter, go through the door on your right to find it on the stand next to the fireplace.
Letter from Home #5
The final Letter from Home in the mission can be found at the small camp on a hill near the main base. Check on the table inside the tent.
Mission 4: Lorino Dockyard

Letter from Home #1
The first Letter from Home in Mission 4 can be looted from a soldier near the Overseer office inside the train hangar. Look for the one called Tobias Groos.
Letter from Home #2
Tils Maier, another soldier in the same hangar, has the second Letter from Home collectible. He is in the offices/room opposite from the Overseer’s office.
Letter from Home #3
Yet another soldier carries a Sniper Elite 4 Letter from Home. He can be found in the vicinity of the dockyard crane marked on our map.
Letter from Home #4
There is a soldier that sits on a chair next to a fire close to the water (looking toward the lighthouse). Axel Wieck is his name and he has the fourth Letter from Home.
Letter from Home #5
The last Letter from Home is also held by a soldier, who goes by the name Fritz Schauble. He can be found at the back side of the warehouse, on the upper floor. You can use the stairs behind the warehouse to reach his exact location.
Mission 5: Abrunza Monastery

Letter from Home #1
Oskar Havener can be found patrolling behind the houses where you find an officer as part of your side objectives. Loot him to get the Letter from Home collectible. Oskar is near a soldier with a Last Letter.
Letter from Home #2
The second Letter from Home is nearby, in the building that surrounds the plaza. Look on the desk with the radio that’s on the second floor. It is right next to the ladder that leads to the roof.
Letter from Home #3
Check the house marked by 3 on our map. The collectible should be on the table right in front of you as you enter through the front door that’s closer to the road.
Letter from Home #4
To get the fourth Sniper Elite 4 Letter from Home, go to the houses across the road from the vineyard and look on the radio table that’s in front of the locked house.
Letter from Home #5
Soldier Enzo Scorza guards the courtyard in front of the chapel. Dispose of him and loot his corpse to get the fifth Letter from Home.
Mission 6: Magazzeno Facility

Letter from Home #1
Go to the second floor of the two-stories building and grab the Letter from Home that’s on top of the metal crate.
Letter from Home #2
Wandering around the four barracks is soldier Carsten Wedekind. He has a Letter from Home collectible, so kill him and inspect his body.
Letter from Home #3
Jorg Adler patrols the corridors of the bunker marked by 3 on our map, but sometimes he goes on the road outside. Catch him by surprise when he is alone, and grab his Letter from Home.
Letter from Home #4
Head to the south entrance of the Nazi facility and tag the soldier stationed on top of the observation post. If his name is Egon Kastner, then you know you got the right guy.
Letter from Home #5
You can get the final Letter from Home in Magazzeno Facility from Helmut Kerwer, a trooper tasked to guard the radar dish that is your main objective.
Mission 7: Giovi Fiorini Mansion

Letter from Home #1
The first Letter from Home in Mission 7 can be found in the building that has “Autotrasporti” written on the side wall. Just look for it on the chair next to the open window upstairs.
Letter from Home #2
At the marked location is a house and a restaurant named “Rapallo”, where you can also find a soldier that has a Last Letter. On the side of the house (or across the restaurant terrace if you prefer it that way) is a small vending stand. Look on the stand for the collectible.
Letter from Home #3
This Letter from Home can be found in the building where you call the convoy trucks. Head to the third floor, past the desk where you call the convoy, and enter the large room with multiple balconies. Check the armchair that’s farthest from the walls.
Letter from Home #4
Inside the bakery that is opposite from the plaza guarded by the sniper who is your main objective is the fourth Letter from Home. You can get it from the table under the pizza poster (right side as you enter through the front door).
Letter from Home #5
The final one can be found in a building in the upper-right corner of the town (on the map, that is). Enter using the door at the far end of the small square, past the dining tables. Then, go upstairs and check the last room. The Letter from Home should be on an old desk.
Mission 8: Allagra Fortress

Letter from Home #1
You can get the Letter from Home from the back room of the observation post that is on high ground next to the bridge. Check the small foldable chair in the corner.
Letter from Home #2
Go to the sleeping areas marked on the map (use the side entrance marked with number 4). The Sniper Elite 4 Letter from Home is on the table in the middle of the room.
Letter from Home #3
Now head to the area with sabotageable missiles (and some huge bombs). Check the desk next to the farthest missile to find the third Letter from Home.
Letter from Home #4
Turn around and use the stairs a couple of meters from your position. Walk straight on the upper level to find the command center where you pick up the missile technical specs. The collectible is on the desks to your left as you enter.
Letter from Home #5
This final Letter from Home is inside the plant where you turn a valve to sabotage the hydrogen peroxide containers. It’s on top of a console that’s under the stairs close to the containers.
Thank you very much. Very helpful. I couldn’t find 1 letter from home, it was driving me mad.
Same here. The one I couldn’t find was ‘Letter from Home’ No. 3 on your map – “The RAF”.
I really appreciate the guide…but, I have to mention two “niggling” little details: All of your letter locations are in the wrong order, and lack a subject line as well. For example, on the Allagra Fort mission, I had every single collectible and eagle but one, the very first one whose subject line was “Tomorrow.” I went to your location for Letter from Home #1, but that letter (subject line unknown) had already been picked up. Crap! So, I had to visit every other location, finding all letters picked up but for the “LAST” one…which is actually Letter #1.
(frown) I have no way of determining whether or not the specific letters (subject lines) shuffle between locations. “New Campaign” is not the same as “New Game,” and there is not “New Game” option in this game. When you start a new campaign, your progress history is not wiped; it is retained—not all save data is stored in the same location, so I can’t manually delete history to see the effect.

Thanks for the “extended” comment 🙂 And to clarify the situation, I never ever (or probably rarely) get the collectibles in the (intended) order of the “story” that they reveal, because it’s a waste of time for both of us. I try to get them in a logical order which involves a linear path on the map or during the mission. What I’m trying to say, I get all the collectibles in a location, no matter the type, then move on to the next location. This way I save a lot of time, and it’s actually annoying for someone who follows the guide to see me jump from place to place just to get the collectibles in the “proper order”. 😉 Yeah, I know, I should’ve put the names after the number, which is my numbering based on the order that I got them, not the in-game numbering.
