Another category of weapons featured in Saints Row: The Third is the handguns, also known as pistols.
This category contains only two types of handguns: the 45 Shepherd and the KA-1 Kobra; however, each model can be upgraded four times.
Additionally, if the player has enough money to purchase a special ability, his character will be able to dual-wield pistols.
In other words, the upgrade allows the character to carry one pistol in each hand, for increased efficiency and damage while fighting his opponents.
