Rocksmith features 51 songs that can be played by those who have purchased the game; however, six additional songs can be unlocked in the journey mode if the player reaches double encores in a set.
The track list includes songs performed by various bands, such as The Animals, Blur, The Cure, Nirvana, The Cribs and Radiohead.
According to rollingstone.com, Rocksmith was developed to reinvigorate music game sales after a few slow years.
Ubisoft team worked for the past 18 months at the San Francisco office, and came with Rocksmith, the game that allows fans to play guitars.
With Rocksmith, Ubisoft wanted to teach people how to play real-world guitars.
Ubisoft released Rocksmith for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 18, 2011 in U.S.
Rocksmith can be bought with or without a guitar. After the game starts and the guitar is plugged in, the player will have to tune it. The game will show the user what he needs to do.
After choosing a song from the list, the track will have only several notes to play, and will fill in, as the user advances in the game.
In addition, if the player starts missing notes, the game will slow down. Everything is adapting to the players skills, which is why the player cannot choose a difficulty mode.
If the player masters the guitar, then the game will adapt, and will increase its difficulty.
