Risen 2 Meat for the Cook Quest Walkthrough

Meat for the Cook is a Risen 2 quest that is triggered automatically after we talk to Thompkins on Tacarigua (Let Thompkins Know! quest).

The quest giver, Thompkins, asks us to deliver a piece of meat to Osorio, the cook; however, this happens only if we decide to help Gilles at the end of the quest called Grog for the Guards.

In other words, if we refuse Gilles’ offer, the quest called Let Thompkins Know! won’t be available, and we won’t receive the meat from the hunter.

Walkthrough

Practically, all we have to do to complete this quest is to travel back to Puerto Sacarico and look for Osorio, the cook.

Since Patty, is still working for him, we return quickly, and talk to Osorio.

First, we tell him that we delivered the grog, and he will ask us if we brought back some meat. Now, we have two options:

Option 1:

We tell Osorio that we have the meat, and he will give us 200 gold. Patty will also be released.

Option 2:

We lie Osorio, and answer with a question (What meat?). In this case we fail to complete Meat for the Cook, but we will receive 50 Gold and get the chance to keep the meat (provisions).

No matter what we decide, Patty will soon join us and we have to talk to her.

During the conversations, we will have the chance to decide what to do with the gold we have received.

Option 1:

We share the gold with Patty and receive 5 provisions for 100 gold.

Option 2:

We decide to keep the gold, and Patty will keep the supplies.

After we complete this quest, it is time to talk to Roquefort about a letter he wants to be delivered to the pirates (Pirate Post quest), and to pay another visit to the prison tower.

Inside, we will find Largo, who was also a prisoner in Caldera. We talk to him to start 2 new quests, called The Clothes of a Pirate and Freeing Largo. The Clothes of a Pirate is an important quest which starts in Puerto Sacarico and requires our presence at the Pirate’s Den.
