A free Reus trainer which allows players to cheat the indie god-game developed by Abbey Games was uploaded on DLH.net, on May 23, 2013; and can be used by all players who wish to activate five different cheats or cheat codes.
The trainer for Reus, the video game, gives access to the cheats listed below, and was developed to assist fans of the game who need additional help in completing all missions.
Players can run the trainer while playing the videogame, but they should be aware that the program might not work on all versions of the game, and some antivirus programs may block it, since it contains an encrypted file used to modify specific values within the games default files.
Modifying these values will eventually help payers, who desire to increase the amount of food, wealth and technology points.
The indie god game known as Reus is a downloadable title, which was released on May 16, 2013, exclusively for PC.
Reus costs US $9.99 and can be purchased from Steam, GOG, GamersGate and Desura, the versions available on GOG and Desura, being DRM-free.
The god-game was inspired by other similar titles such as Black & White and Populous, allowing players to control the nature, but restricting their interactions with mankind.
In other words, while playing Reus, the player is free to modify the environment and shape it by controlling a giant; however, all decisions made affect the planets population.
The main goal is to maintain a balanced planet, without giving too much power to its population, and without allowing nature to overwhelm mankind. To interact with the environmental elements, players can control a series of giants used to shape the planet following the players commands.
The giants feature different abilities and skills, being able to create oceans, erect mountains, and even forests.
The giants are also used to praise or punish the planets population, following the commands they receive from players.
After its release, Reus managed to impress a large number of critics and reviewers, including Carolyn Petit, editor at Gamespot.
In her review, Carolyn Petit praises the strategic gameplay and the variety of goals, players must complete; but she also criticizes the games progression, which, according to her, “isn’t always smooth”.
Nevertheless, on Gamespot, the video game received 8.0 points out of 10; while for Destructoid, Fraser Brown gave 9 points out of 10.
