How to cheat in Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed is a question asked by many fans of the racing video game, released on March 29, 2011.
Developed by Slightly Mad Studios and published by Electronic Arts, Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed, or NFS: Shift 2, is the 17th title in the Need for Speed series of video games.
The game features over 100 cars and more than 60 tracks, as well as a career mode for one player, and an online multiplayer mode for up to 12 players.
While the Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed achievements, where revealed before the games official release date, many players became interested on how they can cheat this video game and what cheat codes can be used while playing it.
How to get unlimited money in Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed
Since there are no fixed cheat codes that can increase the amount of money the player has in Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed, several players and fans of the game, developed trainers which may be used in the game, by those who wish to increase their in-game funds.
One of these trainers can be found on DLH.net, and is compatible with almost all versions of Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed.
The trainer enables two options, one of them allowing players to get unlimited money while playing the game in the career mode. To use the trainer, players must follow these steps:

Extract all files included in the .rar archive
Copy the files in the games directory
Run the trainer
Launch the game
During the game, press 2, but make sure that NumLock is activated
Players will notice that they will have unlimited funds in Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed and they are allowed to buy or upgrade their cars as they wish, as long as the cars are unlocked.
The trainer can be closed anytime, because all changes will be saved.
How to boost the RPM of your car in Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed
The second option of the same trainer, boosts the cars RPM. This option should not be confused with the cars nitro, but if its used correctly it can be more powerful than the nitro.
To turn it on, players will have to press 1 with the NumLock activated.
During a race, the Left Shift key gives a small RPM boost to the car, while the Left Ctrl key gives a large boost.
If the game is played with the manual transmission enabled, players will observe that they cant shift gears while they boost the cars RPM; therefore they must release the buttons when they intend to shift gears.
Using the boost while the car is in first gear wont have any effect because the car is not moving, but in the fifth gear, the RPM boost can make the difference in a Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed single player race.
