The NBA 2K14 complete list of teams includes 30 NBA teams and, for the first time in the NBA 2K series, 14 Euroleague teams that can be accessed by all fans of the video game.
While the previous titles of the series included only NBA teams, the teams that participate in Euroleague have been added after 2K Sports and Euroleague Basketball signed a partnership, on July 2, 2013.
According to euroleague.net and Jason Argent of 2K Sports, the NBA 2K14 Euroleague teams, or the European teams that participate in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, were implemented by developers in order to give all European basketball fans the opportunity to take on Europes best in NBA 2K14.”
The list of NBA 2K14 Euroleague teams includes clubs such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Olympiacos Piraeus and CSKA Moscow, all of them participating in the next season of Turkish Airlines Euroleague .
The remaining teams included in NBA 2K14, are the NBA clubs, well known by all fans of the franchise. Developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, NBA 2K14 is the 15th installment in the NBA 2K series which debuted in 1999.
The video game was released on October 1, 2013 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3; however, it is also a launch title for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Miami Heat star LeBron James was selected to be the cover athlete, and also the producer of the NBA 2K14 Soundtrack.
After its release for the current-gen systems, NBA 2K14 received multiple acclaims from users and critics alike. As of October 3, 2013, NBA 2014 for Xbox 360 holds an aggregate score of 88/100 on Metacritic, and the PS3 version 85/100.
NBA 2K14 also managed to impress Ryan McCaffrey (IGN) who gave 9.3 points in his review published on September 25, 2013.
In his article, McCaffrey points out that the score was positively affected by the games presentation, and the “tighter gameplay”; however, the editor also criticizes the LeBron Mode available in the game.
