As a playing character in the Mortal Kombat video game series, Sektor debuted in the third episode, named Mortal Kombat 3.
In Mortal Kombat 9, or 2011, players will have the chance to see both faces of this character, as a human and as a cyborg.
Just like Cyrax, Smoke and Sub-Zero, Sektor is a member of the Lin Kuei clan, but unlike them, he is also the Grand Master’s son.
While Cyrax, Smoke and Sub-Zero, refused to be transformed in cyborgs by the Lin Kuei, Sektor was the first member who supported this process.
In Mortal Kombat 9, players will follow Sektor’s story from the beginning, when he was Cyrax’s best friend.
Both of them were sent to kill Sub-Zero, but Shang Tsung hired Sektor to stop the Earthrealm fighters who intend to participate in the Mortal Kombat tournament.
After Sektor is transformed into a cyborg, his friendship with Cyrax ends, but his loyalty to the Lin Kuei becomes stronger.
Eventually, out of devotion, Sektor decides that the Lin Kuei members need another Grand Master, and his old friend is a traitor who must die.
Unlike Cyrax, Sektor’s equipment allows him to attack his enemies from distance, by launching rockets. Sektor’s costume is red while Cyrax’s armor is yellow.
