Princess Kitana or simply Kitana is the stepdaughter of Shao Kahn and Mileena’s sister.
While Mileena is a clone created by Shang Tsung following Kitanas pattern; the rightful daughter of Shao Kahn, Kitana, is an Edenian female fighter.
In the Mortal Kombat franchise, Kitana debuted in the second title of the series, known as Mortal Kombat II.
Her main fighting styles are Ba Gua and Eagle Claw, and as main weapons Kitana uses two steel fans.
Players should know that Kitana is Sindel’s daughter, but the only thing she remembers is that Sindel mysteriously died, ages ago. In Mortal Kombat 9, Kitana is loyal to Shao Kahn, along with her best friend Jade.
While she brutally serves his master, and tries to help him to conquer the Earthrealm, Kitana starts to doubt about Khan’s intentions. Eventually, she finds out that everything she knows is a deception.
If gamers decide to play Mortal Kombat 9 in the story mode, they will face Kitana and Jade several times. Her fan attacks are powerful as well as her special moves.
If the game is played in the VS mode, Kitana’s Uplift attack can be used to immobilize the opponents for a short time, and attack them while they are suspended in the air.
