In the Mortal Kombat franchise, Ermac is a ninja, but his race is unknown since he was created by Shao Kahn as a fusion of souls.
These souls belong to warriors killed by the emperor, and only Shao Kahn can control them; therefore Ermac is an evil character.
In Mortal Kombat, Ermac always refers to himself with appellatives such as “our”, or “we”, not “mine” or “I”.
He originally appeared as a playing character in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and he is also a playing character in Mortal Kombat 9, or Mortal Kombat 2011.
