Cyrax is another Mortal Kombat character that can be accessed in the ninth title of the series, Mortal Kombat 2011 or Mortal Kombat 9.
The character debuted in Mortal Kombat 3 and he is a former member of the Lin Kuei clan of assassins. Another assassin and member of the same clan is Sektor.
In Mortal Kombat 2011, players can see both faces of Sektor and Cyrax; as humans and as cyborgs. Cyrax’s story is centered on his allegiance to the Lin Kuei clan, and to his Grand Master.
Sektor can be observed in many cut-scenes near Cyrax, since both of them are trying to find Sub-Zero who betrayed the Lin Kuei.
When their Grand Master decides to transform all the Lin Kuei members into cyborgs, Cyrax refuses to obey his order, and eventually he is considered a traitor. Later in the game, he is forced to fight against his best friend, Sektor.
Players, who decide to assume the role of Cyrax while playing Mortal Kombat 9, should know that this character has the ability to throw bombs on the ground, and to launch nets that will paralyze his opponents for a short time.
