Mortal Kombat 2011 Game Guide: Cyber Sub-Zero

Cyber Sub-Zero is one of the new characters introduced in the Mortal Kombat series of video games, by the ninth MK title, known as Mortal Kombat 9, or Mortal Kombat 2011.

Just like Quan-Chi, Cyber Sub-Zero must be unlocked in the game; otherwise players will not be able to access it.

In order to unlock Cyber Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat 9, gamers will have to play the game’s story mode and successfully complete Chapter 13.

Since Cyber Sub-Zero’s first appearance is in Mortal Kombat 9, gamers who finish the story mode, will be able to learn how this character came to life.

Cyber Sub-Zero is a cyborg and he was created by the Lin Kuei clan of assassins.

In other words, Cyber Sub-Zero is the automated version of Kuai Liang (also known in the game as Sub-Zero); therefore we can assume that Cyber Sub-Zero is the younger brother of Bi-Han (known in the game as Noob Saibot).

Capable to control the power of ice, Kuai Liang (Sub-Zero) is captured by the Lin Kuei and converted into a cyborg, instead of Smoke, one of his best friends.

After Smoke realizes that his friend lost his soul, and he fights on the wrong side, he takes him to Jax Briggs and Sonya Blade, where Cyber Sub-Zero is reprogrammed.

His next task is to spy Shao Kahn and his fighters. During this mission Cyber Sub-Zero fights against SektorKano, Kintaro, Goro and Ermac.

His last fight is against Quan Chi and his older brother, Noob Saibot. After Cyber Sub-Zero defeats Noob Saibot, he returns to his new master, Raiden to report his victories.

Raiden asks Nightwolf to watch over Cyber Sub-Zero, but both of them are attacked by Sindel. Eventually, Cyber Sub-Zero dies during this fight, but his soul is resurrected by Quan Chi, who becomes his new master.

The guide below contains a full list with all the moves that can be performed by Cyber Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat 9.
