Lord of the Rings War in the North Game Guide: Playable Characters and Skills

Lord of the Rings War in the North Game Guide: Playable Characters and Skills

In the following game guide, we reveal the full list of skills and talents for the heroes in Lord of the Rings: War in the North.

The video game includes three playable characters: a dwarf named Farin, an elf female character named Andriel and a Dunedain ranger known as Eradan.

Players should know that all characters in the game have different skills that can be upgraded, but to do that, they must be leveled up.

A new level is reached every time a character gathers a specific amount of experience points. For each new level, the character receives skill points that must be spent to improve his talents. Eventually, the hero will become stronger and will learn new combat moves and attacks.

LoTR: War in the North was released on November 1, 2011 in U.S, being developed by Snowblind Studios, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

The title presents an alternative story that takes place during the events revealed in J.R.R. Tolkien’s books; however, players will meet many notable characters such as Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and Frodo.

All these characters will interact in one way or another with the game’s protagonist.

Two important aspects of the game are the playable characters and their classes, as they affect the gameplay. Depending on the player’s style, each character must be upgraded so he/she can reach maximum efficiency in battles.

Eradan for example, is a fast character and an expert in ranged weapons. Even if he can also use two –handed swords, the bow remains his most powerful weapon, and a good idea is to level up all bow-related skills.

The same rule applies for Andriel and Farin who is a tough dwarf and a skilled melee fighter. If the player wishes to re-spec his Lord of the Rings: War in the North character, he can buy a special item from the vendors within the game-world; but this item is not cheap.
