Along with Matchmaker, Mother and Daughter is a Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns side-quest available in the Wildlands area, and connected to the side-quest named Dog, Doctor and Assistant.
Mother and Daughter is a very short side-quest, unlike Matchmaker, during which you have been asked to gather a number of materials for Tilda.
If you completed Matchmaker, then you already know that she can be found in the Research Camp, a small base in eastern Eremite Plains.
If you didn’t complete Matchmaker, or Dog, Doctor and Assistant, you can still play Mother and Daughter, but you will be forced to complete one of them.
The following walkthrough reveals the steps you need to follow in order to activate and finish Mother and Daughter side-quest.
Quest Details
Description: “As usual, Brella is hanging out on the road near the Wildlands Station. But when Lightning approaches her, she seems sadder than the usual. She tells Lightning about a dog she once had called Clove. She adored the animal like her own daughter; together they made a family. But then, one terrible day, clove disappeared. It happened quite recently. Perhaps there is a chance that Lightning can find the dog.”

Requirements: Finish side-quest: Dog, doctor and assistant. Start the quest at 6 AM and finish it before 10 PM

Quest Walkthrough
The first thing you have to do for this specific quest is to find the client, a woman named Brella. For this you have to go to the Wildlands Station between 6 AM and 10 PM.
Brella is located at the bottom of the stairs leading to the train station. You can identify her by the pink shirt and the short yellow skirt she is wearing.
Talk to her and she will tell you about her beloved Clove, a dog she recently lost. If you want to find Bella’s dog, Clove, all you have to do is to visit the Research Camp in Eremite Plains by following the path north from the Wildlands Station.
In the Research Camp you will find two girls. One is named Tilda and the second, Thirteen, or Claudia. Notice that they have a sick dog and they ask you to provide the materials needed by Tilda to create the Animal Potion (Dog, Doctor and Assistant side-quest).
Once you cure the dog, return to Brella and tell her that you find Clove, then go back to the Research Camp and talk to Tilda.
During the cutscene that ends the quest, Brella will appear to take Clove home.
Note: If you wish to complete these three quests faster, first you should finish Dog, Doctor and Assistant, during which you will activate Matchmaker.Next, you should trigger and complete Mother and Daughter. The final step is to finish Matchmaker side-quest, started earlier.
