Former member of the Green Lantern Corps, and Green Lanterns nemeses, Sinestro is a playable character featured in Injustice: Gods Among Us and one of the supervillains that join Superman’s One World Regime.
Sinestro debuted as DC Comics character in Green Lantern (vol. 2) # 7, being created by John Broome and Gil Kane.
Born on Korugar, space sector 1417, Sinestro is Hal Jordans (Green Lantern) former mentor and a ruthless leader, also known as Parallax.
In the fighting video game published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U, Thaal Sinestro is voiced by Troy Baker and he is a Power User.
He appears during the attack on the Justice League Watchtower to help Lex Luthor in distracting the superheroes; thus allowing Joker to prepare the bomb in the center of Metropolis. Fortunately, Sinestro is defeated by Green Lantern, but he makes his return in the alternate universe, after Batman summons a number of superheroes to help the Insurgents and put an end to Supermans Regime.
Sinestros first two opponents are Green Arrow and Wonder Woman, both of them saved again by Green Lantern.
Sinestro continues to support Superman during his attack on Stryker’s Island, and he is also sent to prepare the troops needed by the Man of Steel to destroy Gotham and Metropolis.
During his speech, Sinestro is interrupted by Flash who successfully defeats him. At the end of the fight, Flash builds a tower on top of Sinestro to keep him trapped, but Sinestro escapes and returns to attack Gotham along other members of the Regime.
During the attack, he fights Green Lantern again, and he almost kills Superman. After Kal-El defeats Black Adam, he also beats Sinestro and removes his ring.
The same fate is shared by Yellow Lantern, both of them being sent back to Oa to stand trial. Even if Sinestro is a dedicated member of Supermans Regime, his alternate ending reveals the fact that after Kal-Els demise, Sinestro realized that the rules imposed by Superman, similar to those he applied in Korugar, were not infallible.
Fear wasnt as powerful as he thought; thus Sinestro turned his attention on The Life Entity.
Helped by other members of the Sinestro Corps, he defeated The Life Entity and took the White Power Battery, becoming unstoppable.
Costumes and Skins
