The Czarnian mercenary known as Lobo is the first Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC character introduced by NetherRealm Studios after the official release of the fighting videogame.
While Lobo doesn’t appear in story-mode, he is available in other playing modes, being a ruthless and redoubtable close-combat opponent.
Lobo as a DC Comic character debuted in Omega Men # 3, back in 1983, being created by writer Roger Slifer and artist Keith Giffen.
Born on the fictional planet Czarnia, Lobo is an alien, whose real name cant be pronounced, but it is known that it means “he who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it”.
It is also known that when he was born, his nurse went insane seeing the evil in his eyes. When he grew up, the Lobo started a personal science project and he created an army of creatures similar to spiders that eventually decimated his own planet.
Even if Lobo can be considered an insane villain, he is a trustworthy mercenary, who always finishes a job. In Injustice: Gods Among Up, Lobos name appears in Doomsday’s alternate ending.
After Doomsday defeats the Superman and all mankind, he transforms Earth into a planet similar to the prehistoric Krypton.
When the process ends, Doomsday turns his attention towards other galaxies where he hopes to find a worthy opponent. His first target is the Czarnian mercenary he heard so much about, the one known as Lobo.
On the other hand, Lobos alternate ending that can be unlocked in the videogame, shows the mercenary dealing with all superheroes and villains, all of them being simple contracts for him; thus turning him into the richest man in the universe.
Without no future contracts; however, Lobo tried to find new targets, and he created a personal contract, putting a bounty on the citizens of New Genesis, the home world of the new gods.
Costumes and Skins
As all other Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC characters (Batgirl and Scorpion), Lobo can wear only his default costume.
