Injustice: Gods Among Us Chapter 6 belongs entirely to Cyborg, one of the playable characters in the video game released on April 16, 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
He is also a playable character in the iOS version of the videogame.
Cyborg as a fictional character appeared for the first time in 1980, in DC Comics Presents #26, being a member of the Teen Titans team of superheroes; however, in 2011 he became a member of the Justice League.
His real name is Victor Stone or Vic Stone, and he was created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez. Cyborg is also known as Cyberion, Robotman, Technis, Cyborg 2.0, Omegadrome or Sparky.
In Injustice: Gods Among Us, the video game, Cyborgs chapter follows the events presented in Green Arrow’s chapter. His opponents in the videogame are Deathstroke, Lex Luthor, Catwoman, and the alternate version of Cyborg who is a member of Superman’s Regime.
Cyborg’s chapter begins with a cutscene showing him along with Superman and The Flash working on a device they created to pull back the superheroes from Supermans parallel universe. Unfortunately, the device powered by The Flash doesn’t work as expected, and it sends Cyborg to the alternate universe.
Cyborg arrives inside a facility where he meets Lex Luthor and Deathstroke, the first working undercover for Batman’s Insurgency.
Since Cyborg hears their plans on taking down Superman; without knowing that they are talking about the Regime version, he attacks both of them. After he defeats them, Batman arrives accompanied by Green Arrow who welcomes Cyborg to “Oz”.
While Batman explains to Cyborg what happened in the parallel universe, the action moves to the negative version of Superman who visits the Batcave.
When Wonder Woman asks him why Batman returned to the cave, Superman touches the rock in which Batman kept the Kryptonite weapon.
The Man of Steel realizes that he can be defeated by the Insurgency; therefore, he must find them as soon as possible, or “flush them out”. Superman makes a statement using the media systems from Metropolis, in which he announces that he will execute Batman on Stryker’s Island.
Batman along with the remaining Insurgency members watch the broadcast, and decide to rescue the parallel version of Batman, which was captured by Superman.
Cyborgs role in the plan is to get to the teleporter that can be used to reach Stryker’s Island, while Aquaman must create a diversion. During the cutscene Cyborg has a tense discussion with Deathstroke who accompanies him.
The main reasons are Deathstroke’s attacks on the Titans. After Cyborg gets the codes required to access the teleporter, he has to use them to activate the device, but the process is interrupted by Catwoman who can see through his disguise (Cyborg’s Regime costume).
Eventually, the two of them fight against each other, but Cyborg finishes her. Moments later, his Regime duplicate appears in the Hall of Justice, and an inevitable clash between two Cyborg characters begins.
The final cutscene of the chapter reveals the fact that the Regime version of Cyborg tortured Deathstroke, thus giving him a reason to join Batmans Insurgency.
The chapter ends with a cutscene showing Deathstroke and Cyborg activating the teleporter.
Costumes and Skins
Even if multiple websites state that Cyborg is a member of the Regime, it is important to remember that he is one of Batman’s allies.
The confusion is created by his alternate costume which can be unlocked in the Archives; however, as depicted in the cutscene, Cyborg uses the costume only as a camouflage, which allows him to enter the Hall of Justice.
The second costume used by Cyborg in Injustice: Gods Among Us is his default outfit that can be accessed from at the beginning of the game.
The third alternate costume that can be unlocked for Cyborg is his Teen Titans Costume, which is included in the Teen Titans Skin Pack DLC.
