Silver Chests in Fable Anniversary are no ordinary chests, because they are locked and can only be opened with a number of Silver Keys.
Even if there are 30 Silver Keys, only 12 Silver Chests exist in the world of Albion. Each Silver Chest requires a certain number of Silver Keys.
For example, there are Silver Chests that require 5 Silver Keys, but later in the game you will find 15 Silver Key Chests (or even 20 or 30).
However, the Silver Keys remain in your inventory after you use them to open a Silver Chest.
It is important to find and open all of them, because they hold items such as Elixirs of Life, Will Masters Elixirs, weapon augmentations, and Legendary Weapons, which are the most powerful weapons in the game.
The following Fable Anniversary collectibles guide features the locations of all Silver Chests.
Fable Anniversary Silver Chests Locations
Silver Chest #1 (Greatwood Lake)
The first Silver Chest you encounter is at the Heroes Guild, but that requires 20 Silver Keys, so you wont open it anytime soon.
When you reach Greatwood Lake area you can open your first Silver Chest which requires only 5 Silver Keys. It is on the main path, on your left as youre coming from Greatwood Entrance. Inside you can find an Elixir of Life.
Silver Chest #2 (Hobbe Caves – Cave Larder)
During the Hobbe Cave side quest you can check the Cave Larder from Hobbe Caves for another 5 Sliver Key Chest. Once you deal with the Hobbes that are waiting for you inside open the Silver Chest to receive a Will Masters Elixir.
Silver Chest #3 (Grey House)
The third Silver Chest requires 10 Silver Keys and you can find it inside the house from Grey House area. The Silver Chest is upstairs and contains a Sharpening Augmentation.
Be aware that as soon as you enter the house you are attacked by undead.
Silver Chest #4 (Darkwood Lake)
Once you find 15 Silver Keys return to Darkwood Lake to open your fourth Silver Chest. The chest is next to a rock near Darkwood Bordello entrance.
Inside is Arkens Crossbow, a powerful Legendary Weapon that may come in handy for archer players.
Silver Chest #5 (Witchwood Stones – Witchwood Cavern)
To get the Silver Chest thats inside Witchwood Cavern you need to open the Demon Door in Witchwood Stones. The door is part of the main quest named Find the Archaeologist.
Once inside check the alcove around the carriage to find the Silver Chest that holds a Health Augmentation.
Silver Chest #6 (Headsman’s Hill – Headman’s Cave)
You can find a 15 Key Silver Chest inside a cave in Headsmans Hill area, but only if you choose to marry Lady Grey during the Mayors Invitation quest. After you defeat Thunder open the chest thats inside Headsmans Cave to get a Mana Augmentation.
Silver Chest #7 (Bowerstone North – Bowerstone Manor)
In order to open the Silver Chest that can be found inside the Bowerstone Manor you must marry Lady Grey by completing the Mayors Invitation quest (or become the Bowerstone Mayor yourself).
Then you can access the Manor and get The Katana Hiryu Legendary Weapon from the chest behind the bed in Lady Greys Bedroom (if you own 15 Silver Keys).
Silver Chest #8 (Heroes’ Guild)
The Silver Chest in Heroes Guild can be found on the path leading to the Demon Door. Open it if you have 20 Silver Keys to retrieve The Murren Greathammer.
Silver Chest #9 (Circle of the Dead)
Once you can access the Circle of the Dead area you can open another 10 Key Silver Chest. It is just around the stairs, on your left as you go down, and it holds a Piercing Augmentation.
Silver Chest #10 (Hook Coast)
To get the Silver Chest in Hook Coast you must first have 15 Silver Keys. Then you have to go at the very top of the lighthouse (you need to break the door if you havent already done it).
It contains The Murren Greataxe Legendary Weapon.
Silver Chest #11 (Necropolis)
In Necropolis there is a Silver Chest that requires 25 Silver Keys. To find it make a left as you cross the bridge thats in the middle of the area. Inside the chest there is a full Archons Battle Suit.
Silver Chest #12 (Lost Bay)
The final Silver Chest requires all 30 Silver Keys and can be found in Lost Bay. From the docks follow the path on your right and you should find the chest behind some rocks near the shore (the southernmost point on the map).
After you collect the Legendary Weapon thats inside, The Avenger, you can give your Silver Keys to the Demon Door in Necropolis.
