Duke Lives is the first chapter in Duke Nukem Forever and the first mission as well. Below is a full text walkthrough created exclusively for this mission, which introduces the main character of the game, Duke Nukem.

After clearing an area in the game, players should spend some time exploring it, in order to increase Dukes Ego and unlock additional achievements.
Duke Lives is the introductory mission in Duke Nukem Forever. The mission starts with a small cutscene presenting the games developers and publishers. As soon as the cutscene ends, you assume the role of Duke who is in a bathroom.
Pull RT (on Xbox 360), to use the toilet.
Explore the bathroom and interact with different objects, then exit through the corridor on the left.
You will enter a round chamber, and you can see several dead soldiers on the floor and a whiteboard. Make sure you use it, to draw something, and you will unlock the Drawrings Achievement/Trophy.
When youre done, follow the corridor behind the board and open the red door to exit this area.
Follow the corridor to the right, and then right again.
Go downstairs and then go left.
You will enter a large tunnel and you will see several wooden crates to the left.
Break them if you want to increase your Ego.
At the end of the corridor, there are two soldiers waiting for you, as well as an elevator.
Pick up the Devastator by pressing X (on Xbox 360) and get ready for a boss fight.
The elevator takes you up on a football field, where you have to fight against the Cycloid.
To defeat him you must fire the Devastator, and stay mobile all the time, in order to avoid his missiles.
Moving around and firing, is the best strategy.
When the Cycloids health drops under 50%, he will start charging. Strafe to avoid these attacks.
If you run out of ammo, look around and you will see several spots marked by red flares. You will find more ammo there. Look for red smoke.
When the Cycloid is down, approach and press X (on Xbox 360). Tap A(on Xbox 360) for a finishing move, and then X to kick his eye.
You will unlock the One-Eyed Freak Trophy/Achievement for defeating this boss.

After the cutscene, you will see Duke and two girls in Duke’s apartment. Investigate this area and interact with every object. Play some pool if you want and go to the bathroom to use the phone there.
Dont forget to admire yourself in the mirror to increase your Ego.
When youre done, exit through the large doors and follow the left corridor.
Take the elevator down, by interacting with the control panel.
