Driver San Francisco was officially revealed at E3 2010. The title was published by Ubisoft and it became available in U.S on September 6 2011 for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. The PC version of Driver: San Francisco was released on September 27, 2011.

Driver: San Francisco is the fifth episode in the Driver series of video games, excluding the portable games released in the past. It was released after Driv3r and Driver: Parallel Lines, which became available in 2004 and 2006.

The action in the game takes place after the events presented in Driv3r, and the main character is John Tanner, who continues his search for Jericho.

All the cars included in Driver: San Francisco, are licensed and fully damageable.

The video game also includes an online or offline multiplayer mode, as well as 50 achievements and trophies.
