Strength in Numbers is an optional Dragon’s Dogma quest, which can be completed when we visit the Encampment, after we finish Call of the Arisen.
The quest giver is Ser Berne who interacts with our hero after we recruit or first pawns (Call of the Arisen quest).
Ser Berne wishes to know if we would like to complete a training session with him.
A good idea is to complete this quest, instead of skipping it, as it will help us learn how to work as a team.

Details
First Task: Move the Cargo
“Form a party and work together to ferry the cargo within the time limit.”
Second Task: Destroy the Scarecrows
“Form a party and work together to vanquish all the scarecrows within the time limit.”
Third Task: Destroy More Scarecrows
“Form a party and work together to vanquish yet more scarecrows within the time limit.”
Walkthrough
Note: By now, we should have four pawns. If we don’t, we recruit more from the rift stone in the camp.
First Task: To complete the first task we pay close attention to our pawns. They will rush in and grab the crates. The last one is for us; therefore, we climb one of the platforms, grab the crate and return it to the marked spot. We dont follow our pawns, because we will run out of time.
Second Task: Three scarecrows we have to destroy are on the ground, while two of them are on top of two different platforms. If we have a mixed group (one healer/mage, one archer, Rook and our hero) we wont have any problem in completing the second trial, as long as we dont rush in to attack the same scarecrow as our melee party member (especially the one on the platform).
Third Task: The final task is similar to the previous one, but it depends on our heros class.
We can notice that there are two types of scarecrows. Those with a blue shield should be attacked with magic, while those with a red shield should be attacked with steel.
If we play as warriors we focus on the red targets, and we climb the platform to the right, to destroy the last scarecrow. If we play as a mage, we change our targets and attack the blue-shielded scarecrows first.
After the final task is completed, Ser Berne congratulates us and the side-quest called Strength in Numbers ends.
