Deadlight Hidden Secrets Guide

Deadlight Hidden Secrets Guide: Checkpoint Charlie

The sixth scene featured in the first Deadlight act is called Checkpoint Charlie, and it follows the events featured in the previous scene, known as A Chance Meeting.

Checkpoint Charlie includes four Deadlight collectibles, or hidden secrets, and the following guide reveals their exact locations.

Those who have reached this level already know, that in order to find all Deadlight collectables in a single playthrough, we have to respect the same order as the one described below.

Checkpoint Charlie Scene Description

“It’s hard to forget all of the tragedy I’ve witnessed along the way.

So much life snuffed out and given to the army of the dead. Along the way I keep hearing the radio message from the survivors. The message about Safe Heaven. If anyone is alive, I’m sure that’s where they’ve gone, including my family.”

Collectibles

Total number of hidden collectibles: 4

Hidden Secrets: 3

Hidden Diary Pages: 1

Secret 1

The first collectible in Checkpoint Charlie is a piece of paper containing a map to the Safe Point. This hidden secret can be found in the starting area, on the ground, near a large crate.

If we climb the crate and continue to ascend the buildings nearby, we will miss the collectable; therefore, first we pick up the map, then we follow the platforms that help us reach the next building.

Secret 2

The second collectible is well hidden and can be missed if we don’t pay attention to the environment. After we find the previous collectable, we reach the roof of a building and continue to advance. Eventually, while standing on the said roof, a tutorial appears teaching us how to avoid damage by rolling during a jump.

We jump on the next roof, and then we go left. We pay close attention to the building nearby and notice an opened window. Using the ladder on the roof we stand on, we descend, and then we jump through the window we saw earlier.

The window allows us to enter a small room where we will find a new collectible. It is a page copied from an old general medicine book.

Using the same window, we exit the room and continue to advance.

Secret 3

As we continue to advance we will enter a new building and Randall falls through a hole, reaching a small chamber. While standing inside, we can hear a music box. This specific item, is the third collectible in Checkpoint Charlie.

We grab the music box, and then exit through the window on the right wall.

Diary Page

The final collectible in Deadlight: Checkpoint Charlie is a Diary Page. After we find the previous hidden secret, we exit the building and jump on a fence. Behind the fence, we can see several excavators, and nearby a hidden room.

Inside we can find one of Randall’s Diary Pages. We pick it up, and then we use the excavators to avoid the electric field on the ground.

When we reach the other side, we will learn how to use Randall’s gun, and moments later, the seventh Deadlight scene (Broken Homes) begins.
