After we complete the Darksiders II starting zone, known as Forge Lands, as well as all quests, and dungeons featured in it, we have the chance to access the second major zone known as Kingdom of the Dead.
To reach it, we have to follow the main quest and beat the last boss which will grant us access to the Tree of Life.
Using the Tree of Life as a portal, we enter the Kingdom of the Dead, where new areas and dungeons await.
As soon as we arrive in The Kingdom of The Dead, we have the chance to meet a new character, named Ostegoth.
After a short conversation, we find out that Ostegoth is a trader, and he lost the relics of his family. At this point we activate the Darksiders II Lost Relics side-quest.
This side-quest is similar to The Book of The Dead and Sticks and Stones, meaning that to complete it we have to find a specific number of Lost Relics.
Once we get one of these relics we can return it to Ostegoth for a reward; however it is important to know that the Lost Relics in Darksiders II are divided in three categories: Relics of Etu-Goth, Relics of Renagoth and Relics of Khagoth.
The difference between them is set by how rare they are. For example, the Darksiders II Relics of Khagoth are extremely rare, and there are only 5 of them in the game, while the Relics of Etu-Goth are common, and the game includes 15.
On the other hand, in Darksiders 2 we can also find 10 Relics of Renagoth.
Depending on what kind of relic we deliver to Ostegoth, we receive different rewards such as Gilt and even Skill Points for Death.
While playing the Darksiders II Kingdom of the Dead areas, we have to remember that we have to look for these Darksiders II collectibles as well.
One of these areas is Leviathan’s Gorge, located south of Craglands and the Tree of Death.
As we advance we can find several Darksiders II Relics, using the maps below, which have been created to locate these items and other collectibles, faster.
Relic of Etu-Goth Location
One of the Relics of Etu-Goth we can acquire is located in Leviathan’s Gorge. As we go down the path from Tree of Death, well come in front of a large bridge.
Instead of crossing that bridge, we go left, until the end of the area in order to see the relic.
Relic of Renagoth Location
As we go down the path to the Gilded Arena, at the first big turn to the right well spot a big construction with many columns.
While facing that building, we turn around to see a large rock (its exactly at the apex of that turn) and we go behind it to collect a Relic of Renagoth, hidden by several withered roots.
Stone of Resistance Location
Another collectible is the Stone of Resistance, which can only be acquired after we obtain the Soul Splitter. At the end of the bridge in Leviathan’s Gorge (south end, near the Lair of the Deposed King) there is a climbable structure to the right. We go down until we reach the bottom, and then we go under the bridge.
We climb near the first Deathgrip point and we shoot the bomb in the distance in order to clear the yellow Corruption.
We use the first three Deathgrip points and go down from the wooden column to grab the bomb and clear the next yellow Corruption.
We climb again onto the column and use the next set of Deathgrip points until we reach an area with two pressure plates.
Next, we get on a pressure plate and we activate the Soul Splitter. Using one form we go on the other plate, and with the remaining form we climb down to traverse a wooden beam to the other side.
Here we need to shot the bomb to clear another yellow Corruption. After that, we look for the Stone of Resistance to the left, above us.
