The following Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection maps, tips and tricks guide presents the fourth map pack published by Activision, for the first-person shooter, Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The DLC became available for Xbox 360 on August 23, 2011, following First StrikeEscalation and Annihilation, but unlike all the other map packs previously released, Rezurrection includes only zombie maps.

For Xbox 360, Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection costs 1200 Microsoft Points and can be downloaded from Xbox Live Marketplace.

Our Black Ops Rezurrection game guide reveals additional information regarding the new maps, weapons and zombies included in the CoD: Black Ops Rezurrection Map Pack DLC, offering tips and tricks for those who have purchased it as well as useful facts for those who intend to buy it.

Moon Map – Zombie

Moon is one of the maps included in the Rezurrection Map Pack and the largest zombie map in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The action on this map takes place on the moon, as well as in Area 51, and the playable characters available are: Tank Dempsey, Takeo Masaki, Nikolai Belinski, Edward Richtofen, Samantha Maxis.

Players can gain access to two new wonder weapons while playing on this map: the Wave Gun and the QED, also known as the Quantum Entanglement Device.

A new park, called Mule Kick is also available on this map, and costs 4000 points. This perk allows players to carry three weapons at the same time, and it can be found near theReceiving Area.

On the zombie map called Moon, players will fight against normal zombies, hellhounds and two new zombie types: astronaut zombies and phasing zombies.

The objective on this map is to fight against unlimited waves of zombies.

Nacht der Untoten Re-Mastered Map – Zombie

The Nacht der Untoten zombie map included in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection DLC is a re-mastered version of the Nacht der Untoten that can be played in Call of Duty: World at War.

Players and fans of the series who desire to play this map in Call of Duty: Black Ops, can choose one of the following playable characters: Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Doctor Richtofen.

Nacht der Untoten translates as “Night of the Undead”, and the action on this map takes place in a small building assaulted by zombies.

Each room inside the building features multiple windows that must be barricaded to slow down the zombie invasion.

Players have access to all the weapons that can be bought in other zombie maps, and to the Monkey Bomb that can be acquired from the Mystery Box.

This map also features an Easter Egg, which can be activated by shooting all barrels outside the building.

Verrückt Re-Mastered Map – Zombie

Verrückt is also a re-mastered map available in the Rezurrection Map Pack. It is a Call of Duty: World at War zombie map, but in the Rezurrection DLC, it suffered several changes; however the location remained unchanged.

The action on this map takes place in a hospital from Berlin, and in CoD Black Ops, the playable characters are: Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki, and Doctor Richtofen.

Call of Duty: World at War players who have purchased the Rezurrection Map Pack for Black Ops, will notice that all weapons used during the Cold War can be obtained only through the Mystery Box.

The map also includes the Winter’s Howl super weapon, and the map’s difficulty was reduced by removing a type of zombies that appear in Call of Duty: World at War.

Shi No Numa Re-Mastered Map – Zombie

“Swamp of Death” or Shi No Numa is the third re-mastered Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection map that was originally released for Call of Duty: World at War.

It is the only zombie map that includes enemies from the Imperial Army of Japan, and the action takes place in the Pacific area, in a swamp surrounded by jungle.

In CoD: Black Ops, it is the third zombie level and the playable characters are: Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Doctor Edward Richtofen. The console codename for this map is: zombie_swamp.

The CoD: Black Ops version of Shi No Numa suffered only minor changes and most of them can be observed in the map’s graphics. Several weapons that appear inCoD: World at War were also removed, as well as some glitches.

Der Riese Re-Mastered Map – Zombie

Der Riese is the final re-mastered zombie map that can be accessed in the Rezurrection Map Pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The map’s name means “The Giant”, but it is also known as Zombie Factory or Waffenfabrik Der Riese.

The action on this map takes place in a secret facility controlled by Nazis, in Berlin, Germany.

Playable characters are Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki and Doctor Edward Richtofen, and the console codename is zombie_cod5_factory.

Der Riese originally appeared as a zombie map in Call of Duty: World at War, and the CoD: BO version is similar, except for several changes brought by developers to the map’s graphics and the weapons that can be acquired during the game.

New Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection DLC also introduces two new zombie types. These are:

Phasing Zombies –

Encountered while playing the Moon map. These zombies have the ability to teleport, and they usually appear near the player.

When a Phasing Zombie dies, it will explode, stunning the player and releasing a gas, known as Nova. The player is immune to this gas, only if the P.E.S is equipped. In low gravity, a Phasing Zombie will not release the Nova gas.

Astronaut Zombies –

They also appear on the Moon map. These zombies move slowly and when they die, they explode, killing all nearby zombies and pushing back the player.

If an Astronaut Zombie gets close to the player, it will grab him and teleport him to a random location, stealing a random perk. In multiplayer mode, these zombies can be difficult to kill because they have names, trying to trick players.

Hitting them will not increase the player’s amount of points; however when they die, the player will be awarded.
