BioShock Infinite Shantytown Voxophones, Telescopes and Kinetoscopes

BioShock Infinite Shantytown represents Chapter 21 of the video game, and it is available after DeWitt and Elizabeth find out what happened in The Good Time Club.

After opening an alternate reality in which Chen Lin is still alive, DeWitt and Elizabeth must travel to Shantytown to find Chen’s tools that were confiscated by the police.

Shantytown is not a large area, but it shares the same space with another chapter, so it is the best thing for players to use the collectables’ guide below if they want to find all BioShock Infinite collectibles.

Voxophone #1

Get rid of the enemies blocking your path and then take the elevator down to Shantytown (the point where the chapter starts).

At the intersection, move forward and use the stairs to reach a bar/pub named The Graveyard Shift, as suggested by Elizabeth (you can also go left at the intersection to find an Infusion, but that will make the enemies attack you). While in the bar, head through the door near the counter to reach the cellar.

On a table in the cellar is the first BioShock Infinite Shantytown Voxophone. Turn around after you pick up the Voxophone and you should see some keys on a barrel.

Grab them to start an optional quest that will lead you to another item of interest.

Telescope #1

Now head back outside and follow the path to the police building. After you go through the second passage, the one with the clock, you arrive in the Bull Yard (there’s a chapter later that takes place in this area).

As soon as you use the first set of stairs, look high above, to your left. You should see the BioShock Infinite Shantytown Telescope on the balcony. It can be reached via the freight hooks.

Voxophone #2

From the Telescope’s position, look towards the police station impound. There are two sky-lines that travers the area.

When the path is clear and after you destroy the turrets, ride the one that was farthest from you while you were on the balcony (if you don’t know which one, use them both until you find the proper one, the one from which you can reach the police station’s entrance).

Go on the right side while on the sky-line and when you pass through the building (the top point of the sky-line), dismount. Check for the second BioShock Infinite Shantytown Voxophone next to a chair and a barrel (there’s a grizzly trap here which marks the exact location).

After that, ask Elizabeth to pick the lock and access the building to start the next chapter, The Bull House Impound.
