Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag The Black Trench is an underwater location that can be explored as soon as the diving bell is acquired.
The Black Trench is a dangerous location because there are multiple sharks guarding the shipwreck at the bottom of the ocean.
Inside the shipwreck you will be able to find 9 AC4 collectibles, and two of them are animus fragments. The remaining collectibles are chests containing money and other valuable items.
Additionally, one treasure chest contains another upgrade for the Jackdaw. The following guide includes tips and hints on how to find all collectibles in The Black Trench area, as well as a customized map for this specific location.

Chest 1
The first chest on the map above is inside a shipwreck and it is easy to spot. Stay away from the urchins on the wooden pole and loot it to get 129 Reales and a gold cross (150 R).
Chest 2
The second chest is inside the main section of the shipwreck. Look for it under the main deck, and loot it for 262 Reales.
Chest 3 A
fter you get the third chest, look around for a ramp and go up one level, to find the third one. Inside you will find 1000 Reales.
Chest 4
The fourth chest contains a larimar pearl (40 R), a silver chain (70 R) and 188 Reales. The chest is also below the main deck, inside the southern section of the wreck.
Chest 5
Chest #5 is close to the fourth. Turn around after you loot the previous chest and you will see an air barrel.
Turn right while close to it and go through the door to reach the main deck. Now, swim left and go below the deck to find the chest which contains the Flower Sails Upgrade Plan.
Chest 6
For the sixth chest you will have to swim to the bottom of the ocean, avoiding the sharks. The chest is under a large piece of wood, and inside are 271 Reales.
Chest 7
The final chest can be retrieved on your way back to the diving bell.
Look for it under a jellyfish, and inside another section of the ship.

Animus Fragment 1
The first fragment is easy to locate after you loot the third chest. From its location, turn around, while remaining on the same level of the deck, and head outside looking for a hatch.
The hatch is opened and if you go downstairs you will see the fragment.
Animus Fragment 2
The second fragment is inside a smaller section of the wreck. It is easy to find, being located in the southern area of The Black Trench.
